UKFINDS ACA, HFSI, Script and RML Info

The new September 2020 ACA etc. include the following…

• Addition of minimum 6 monthly NVM backup.


• Changes to the ACA include the latest Base Standards for the m/c and other useful information
o Note: updates to the Base Standards are denoted by a red star 
Remember to transfer the Earth Check date (UK only) and relevant Base Standard’s completed, from previous sheet

• Three changes to optimise HFSI part life and costs and m/c performance.
o IBT Drive Gear reduced to 275k to reduce banding (default 550k belt revolutions ≈ 6M A4)
o Cooling Belt Upper & Lower Steering Roll increase to 8M (previously 2M, default 4M)
Note: HFSIs that have changed from the m/c default threshold show the Default value in black in the last column.
Changes to the Previous ACA threshold are shown red in the last column.

• A UK NVM Script (v2) has been created to optimise numerous NVMs on the m/c’s
o Sets sleep timer to 15 mins
o Sets the Auto Resume Print Timer to 5 seconds
o Sets the Auto Resume Timer to 2 mins
o Sets the StockByNameOnly OFF for new stocks
o Disables the Deburr Assembly
o Set Script version (in service phone no area)
 Note: country phone numbers are in separate scripts now if required
o Enables Page/Serial No./Time/Date stamp on various test prints
o Sets Booklet Wrinkle fix
o Sets HCF & PR-Fin stack limits
o Enables IDM manual curl for heavyweight and speciality medias

• The RML has been optimised for XE and ease of use (based on the latest RML available)
o All non XE stocks removed
o All stocks have the Stock By Name Only option unselected by default
o All stocks have the tray empty slider set to minimum (Chamonix was on the tray)
o There is a dummy stock with this information which can be used to check it is loaded -
use the Search feature and search for rml

Instructions

Save the folder UKFINDS Iridesse ACA_HFSI_Script_RML 01-10-20 to the Documents folder on the
PCUI

ACA and HFSI

Print a hard copy of the UK Iridesse ACA & HFSI v3 document


Note: there is a .pdf version for printing and an .xps version for viewing on the PCUI

Update each HFSI threshold in dC135 as necessary


Note: unfortunately, I cannot find a way to automate this

UK Iridesse NVM script

Install the UK Iridesse NVM Script v2 using dC131 - Save/Restore

Ensure the right arrow (write to IOT) is selected then click the PC icon to select the script

Browse to where the script has been stored (Documents folder)

Note: Example only - not latest script

Click Restore to M/C then Yes

When the ‘Restore’ has finished, you may see Write Errors depending on the output configuration

Note: load country phone number scripts after main NVM script.

Recommended Media List

To install the new Recommended Media List .rml file, use the profiles Shortcut on the Desktop then
select the rml folder or paste this path into any explorer window…
C:\ProgramData\xerox\ProductionPrinter\UI\public\custom\rml
Note: the ProgramData folder is a hidden folder so you cannot just browse to it
Create a new folder called rml old and move all existing .rml files into this folder
Copy the new Xerox Iridesse Production Press XE_SNOoff_LOW v3 200520 file into the main rml
folder

Open the Stock Library in the PCUI application, the RML will take a few seconds to reload
Check that the new RML has been loaded by typing rml in the search bar and you should see the
dummy stock with the current RML date in the Name and full details in the Comments
