Background
After the tragic Manchester attack at the Ariana
Grande concert May of 2017, she took a hiatus and
hasn’t released music for almost a year. Her new
single “No Tears Left To Cry” was a major comeback,
with an album anticipated this July.

of her new album “Sweetener”
● The song is interpreted as Ariana’s comeback
and how no matter what she and her supporters
have been through things will be ok

❖ It is most likely her story of this past years experiences
❖ It reveals how her life was turned upside down
❖ she’s recovering and moving on which is revealed by the power and freedom of the
video including lyrics
❖ In a part of the video she was falling which might represent how she felt after the
attack
❖ As she takes off, and applies masks to her face it reveals how she publicised herself
