Q No. 2: Design an Aryton shunt (Fig. below) to provide an ammeter with a current range of 0 - 1 mA, 10 mA, 50
mA and 100 mA. A D 'Arsonval movement with an internal resistance of 100-ohm and full scale current of 50
micro-Ampere is used. (5+5+5+5 marks) (CLO3)

Q No. 3: A 100-ohm basic movement is to be used as an ohm meter requiring full scale deflection of 1 milli-
ampere and internal battery voltage of 3 volts. A half scale deflection marking of one kilo-ohm is required.
