OPEN LETTER
Leaders who dedicate their lives to growing their leadership skills inspire
and motivate their team members to achieve a mission that accomplishes their vision of
a better future. They create trusting teams full of individuals who feel recognized for
their work and fulfilled by it. As a result, the organization and its people prosper. What
do you mean by leadership? Leadership is an action in which one person guides those
around them to move from one point to another. They say, “leader is an action, not a
position.” It makes sense because you lead to guide them not to rule them.
There are many types of organizational leadership that can be applied
in the workplaces. Situational leadership is perhaps the most versatile type of
organizational leadership. In this model, the leader, often a supervisor or manager in
the workplace, adjusts his or her style based on the needs of the employee, the
problem that he or she is facing, and lessons learned from past experiences.
Transactional leadership is common in larger workplaces in which managers are not
able to get to know their employees. This style of organizational leadership rewards
those who follow the rules and complete their work as expected with a steady
paycheck, a bonus, or promotion.
Studying and understanding this organizational leadership gives me an
idea about there’s characteristics and on how they lead, I can use this understanding in
the future, if God will give me an opportunity to lead a group, Leadership is not about
titles, positions, or flowcharts. It is about one life influencing another. You must lead by
heart not by pride and ego.
