Objectives
This sample report aims to:
check whether a frequency pass or not with high pass filter
if it passes calculate period
obtain time domain and bode graphs then reach a conclusion

BACKGROUND
By combining a basic RC low-pass filter with a RC high-pass filter we can form a simple band-pass
filter that will pass a range or band of frequencies either side of two cut-off frequency points. But we
can also combine these low and high pass filter sections to produce another kind of RC filter network
called a band stop filter that can block or at least severely attenuate a band of frequencies within these
two cut-off frequency points.

The upper and lower cut-off frequency points for a band stop filter can be found using the
same formula as that for both the low and high pass filters as shown.

Our filter shouldn’t pass between 100hz and 10kHz. According to these values, RL and RH are
calculated as follows. Capacitors selected as 0.1uF.
Equipment and Components Used
Two 0.1 microFarad capacitors
Oscilloscope
159 and 15915 ohm resistors
3 Opamp

Experimental Procedure
1. Set up the circuit is shown above.
2. connect the oscilloscope
3. simulate the circuit at two frequencies which are stop and pass band.
4. Get the graphs
5. compare graphs and obtain a result

Observations, Data, Findings and Results

Recommendations and Conclusions

My time domain and bode plot graphs are consistent with each other in other words at a
frequency in bandreject time domain graph 's amplitude is normal but at low frequency
amlitudes of output signal is so low. Therefore i can say that this experiment completed
succesfully.

PROCEDURE
1. Give 10hz frequency using signal generator and measure the signal using ossilicsope. Record your
graph.
2. Give Give 5khz frequency using signal generator and measure the signal using ossilicsope. Record
your graph.
3. Give 25khz frequency using signal generator and measure the signal using ossilicsope. Record your
graph.
