The animal was hypothermic when we began our emergency treatment protocol, so our top priority was to get

its temperature back to normal. To do this, we first warmed the normal saline drip for fluid therapy, then we
placed a warm bottle of water attached to the abdomen. Next, we infused hydrocortisone sodium succinate 500
mg slowly. And while we kept up the drip, the dog's breathing returned to normal, he started to move, and his
temperature began to increase. When the dog came to his senses, the owner told us that at six o'clock she had
given him a cold water bath, causing shock.
