Activity 2

1.Why do you think good citizenship is important in one’s country?

Answer: Being a good citizen is very important. A good citizen is normally the type
of person who works hard, helps others and respects the law. When reading
newspapers or listening to the radio or watching TV, often it is the activities of bad
citizens that are publicized.

2. Cite at least one (1) country proving that good citizenship helped them for
having a well-
developed nation, and also state how that became possible because of good
citizenship.

Answer: Base on my research, One of the best countries to have citizenship is

Iceland. Why? Because,Nordic countries tend to have a fairly high standard of living,
and Iceland is one of the countries that complies with this rule. The European islands
in the North Atlantic seem like a world apart from the rest of the world, but over the
years they have helped shape societies that offer many benefits to their citizens.
Having Icelandic citizenship means a new father can take her 12 weeks of paid
parental leave to spend with his new baby, and gay couples can legally marry in the
country. can do. This country is considered the best for women's rights. While the
country has yet to close the gender pay gap, she is one of only seven countries that
have closed more than 80% of the gap. It also has one of the highest political
democracy scores in the world, second only to Norway. All this makes Iceland the
best citizenship in the world with inclusiveness, security and respect for human rights.
