Grammar
A nominal possessive pronoun is
a pronoun that replaces a noun phrase.
"Mine", "yours", "his", "hers", "its", "ours" and
"sb’s" are all nominal possessive pronouns.
e.g. This is his cat. The cat is his.
Notice "his" in the second sentence replaces
the noun phrase "his cat".
