BRIEF : During a sting operation of a suspected Rebel
Complex, conducted six months ago by the Belderone
Law Enforcement in the capital city of Temmell, the
Subject managed to elude the authorities and escape
capture.
After an thorough investigation of the complex
grounds, the authorities have identified the subject as a
Master Engineer and Prototype Manufacturer formerly
employed with Borstel Galactic Defense.
Subject is suspected to be in the possession of
several schematics and designs for advanced weaponry
and starship components he was in the process of
developing for the Rebellion prior to the raid.
The Subjects personal Droid, a heavily modified LM
Series Maintenance Droid with the designation 4K0,
was seized in the operation, when it threw itself at the
infiltrating team to give the Subject time to escape.
Unfortunately, the unit was able to wipe its own memory
cores of nearly all data before it was finally restrained.
THE QUARREN ENGINEER
In this investigation, the PCs pursue a
Quarren Engineer who is charged with
fabricating and suppling the Rebel Alliance
with advanced weapons technologies.
During a recent sting operation in the
capital city of Temmell on Belderone, the
Quarren man called Warussh Ve’toul was
able to escape custody when he fled from
the Rebel’s Complex.
BIG QUESTION, ANSWER,
AND CULPRIT
The main culprit of this investigation is
Warussh Ve’toul, a former Weapons
Engineer with Borstel Galactic Defense, who
suddenly left his position of 15 years over a
year ago with little warning, presumably to
start working for the Rebellion.
The big question is, “Where is Warussh
hiding out on Belderone?” And the answer is,
“He is working for the notorious black market
dealer Pratari Cinn, out of his
Communications Repair Shop in downtown
Temmell City. In exchange for secret
transport off-planet when he has earned the
Twi’lek criminal enough credits to justify a
place on a Smugglers ship.”
MEANS, MOTIVE, AND
OPPERTUNITY
Warussh was a designer and engineer of
great standing with Borstel Galactic Defense,
and was even offered a large yearly bonus
by the company in an attempt to keep him
working for them when he gave them his two
weeks notice.
But the fact of the matter was, for
Warussh, it wasn’t about the money at all.
He had simply been shown things by a close,
long time friend, that had opened his eyes
once and for all to the reality of the state of

the Galaxy. And to say that he was less than
pleased would be a gross understatement.
Jum Nass, a female Gotal who had gone to
school with Warussh decades ago back on
Fondor, was the one who brought the
evidence of the Empires abuse and
mistreatment to Warussh. Which she herself
had been shown when she was recruited by
the Rebellion several months earlier.
When Jum had hit a dead end in her
design work for the Rebel cell on Belderone,
she had approached her handler and asked
for permission to try and bring Warussh on
board by recruiting him to the Rebel Cell as
well.
Justifying the risk to her superiors in the
Rebellion, claiming that Warussh was
perhaps the most gifted mind she had ever
met, and letting them know that she believed
he could fix the errors in her work in a mere
matter of days once he was let in on the
project.
Warussh was brought in on the project
after a few meetings with the Cell Leader, a
Human Female called Chasha Gersti, and a
thorough back ground investigation by the
Rebel Cell’s resident slicer.
As promised, Warussh made quick work of
the issues with Jum’s prototype, and soon
the design specs were being disseminated
all throughout the Rebellion for field use.
With another two design projects
completed between Warussh and Jum
quickly after the first, the Rebellion
Leader-ship decided that the Belderone team
warranted an investment in resources and
personnel to open up the design range for
what they could produce.
And so the Belderone Cell came to occupy
the old Belfest Manufacturing Building on the
far outskirts of Temmell City.
 Where they set up a full blown weapons
prototyping and short-run manufacturing line.
And Warussh and Jum started to get down to
designing some really exciting stuff for the
Rebellion.
But before they were able to perfect either
of the two projects they were working on and
produce a functioning prototype, the Rebel
Complex was raided.
The Belderone Law Enforcement, lead by
the Imperial Security Bureau (ISB) Agent
Gestin Conners, stormed the Belfest
Manufacturing Building in the dead of night,
and were able to catch everyone onsite
aside from Warussh.
Who happened to be to working on the
perimeter cameras at the time of the raid,
being unable to sleep after a random idea
came to him as he lay quietly in his bunk that
would boost the infrared capabilities of their
perimeter cameras by swapping the polarity
of the Zener diodes hit in just before sleep
could overtake him.
So when the front gate was blown open,
and dozens of smoke grenades were
launched through nearly every plastisteel
window all at once, Warussh was spared
from notice as the Police stormed in to cover
all exits from the main building, and started
to send in their breaching teams.
Warussh was almost completely over the
exterior wall when he was spotted by a
policeman with night vision goggles. And
only when LM-4K0 threw himself at the 4
Police who tried to pursue him was he able
to escape into the night.
But with no other Rebel’s to support him,
he turned desperate in the following days.
And in the end found himself working for a
vile criminal weapons dealer, a Twi’lek called
Pratari Cinn, as basically an indentured
servant. Trying to earn enough credit with the
Black Market Dealer to secure himself a spot
on one of the ships that smuggles goods on
and off planet the man.
But as his debts keep piling up in the form
of food, shelter, and protection fees.
Warussh is beginning to feel like he is
doomed to work the rest of his remaining
days in the back of Pratari’s dingy little
communications repair shop in Old Town
Temmell.
INVESTIGATION BREAKDOWN
While there are numerous ways that the PCs
can go about trying to track Warussh down
and bring him to justice, this section will try to
lay out the possible encounters and
scenarios most likely to arise in their
investigation.
While the various encounters are laid out
numerically, feel free to let them play out in
the way that flows naturally from the PCs
actions, and adapt as needed.
ENCOUNTER 1 : TARGET PERMIT
In order for a Bounty Hunter to officially
pursue an acquisition on Belderone, there is
a Targeting Permit that must be acquired for
a nominal fee, and linked to their IPKC,
which will be verified for validity and good
standing in the Imperial databases.
This is done primarily to ensure that only
lawful hunters operate on their planet, as
well as the revenue of the permits helps to
fund the Law Enforcement Departments
which are notoriously underfunded by the
Belderone government as of late due to
cutbacks and budget cuts.
The fee to pull a targeting permit for
Warussh will run the PCs 100c, but will give
them more legitimacy to get information and
cooperation with the local law enforcement.
This not to say that some Law
Enforcement Officials wont still look down
their noses at them and refuse to help. As
the stigma for Bounty Hunters being a bunch
of ruthless killers and “legalized criminals”
themselves runs pretty deep in a lot of
people in the Galaxy.
But it will at least give them a fighting
chance. And ensure that they are seen as
doing things “by-the-book” while on the
planet.

 ENCOUNTER II : BORSTEL
GALACTIC DEFENSE
The former employer of Warussh is located
in the Industrial District of the capital city
Temmell on Belderone. And is a massive
compound that is surrounded by 30 foot tall
duracrete walls with security cameras and
electro-wire lining the top to keep out
unauthorized visitors.
The entire compound is only accessible
from two large blast-gates. The “Truck Gate”
is located on the southern end of the
compound and is used for the shipping and
receiving of goods and products. And the
“Main Gate” is on the opposite edge to the
north and handles all other traffic into and
out of Borstel.
The guards will only allow the PCs access
from the main gate, and only once they have
been shown both their IPKC and Target
Permit for Warussh.
While they wait for the arrival of their escort
from inside the compound, they will be asked
to step inside the guard shack and to secure
their weapons and any type of electronic
devices inside a row of lockers.
Due to the sensitive nature of the products
Borstel manufactures, and the fact that
random comm frequencies have the remote
chance of causing a munitions detonation,
no outside electronic devices are allowed
inside the compound.
The PCs will be asked to go through a
Quad-Spectrum Scanner that will identify any
and all contraband items that they may have
“forgotten” to remove and store in their
temporary locker on first pass.
The guards will not try to debate the
policies with the PCs, and will get a very
bored look on their faces if they try to sweet
talk, coerce, or negotiate them into allowing
contraband items to be allowed inside with
their persons.

GERRET “MAJOR” KINCAID
Mr. Kincaid is the Head of Security for
Borstel Defense here on Belderone, and will
personally come out to escort the PCs while
inside their facilities.
The staff in the compound refer to him as
simply “Major”, as that was the rank he last
held before separating from the Imperial
Navy and entering the Private Sector.
The “Major” is about as straight laced and
dedicated as they come. And he will fulfill his
duties to the letter of the law, and do so as
efficiently and effectively as possible.
Small talk and idle chatter are about as
foreign to the Major as synchronized Rancor
swimming would be.
He will take the PCs where they are
authorized to go, and only there. And he will
not hesitate to use “deadly force” if they
deviate from their assigned course.
The bottom line is that Borstel takes the
safety and security of their facility very
seriously, and they will make no waivers to
this policy.
As the numerous posters hung around the
Guard Shack can attest to. At least here in
the compound, “Safety Come First!”
Soon after all of their gear is stored away,
a serve and rigid looking human male of
middle age will come out to the shack in an
open topped land speeder.
Their escort, identified as Gerret Kincaid,
will give them a nearly exhaustive safety
briefing about everything from; Fire
Evacuation Protocols, Fall out shelter
locations in the event of an unscheduled
munitions detonation, and on and on.
As well as have them sign a liability waiver,
indemnifying Borstel of any and all
responsibility if anything should happen while
on their property.
 Kincaid will inform the PCs that they are
only authorized to visit the Human
Resources Department, and Warussh’s old
office at the Phase 1 Engineering
Department.
ENCOUNTER KEY CLUES
Human Resource Department
The associate working the front desk at HR
will pull up the Quarrens old file as soon as
Kincaid asks for it. And will allow the PCs to
take as thorough a look at it as they like.
But letting them know that many of the
project specific details have of course been
“redacted” and blocked out with offending
thick black strips to obscure the “sensitive
text” that lays below.
All in all the file is about as vanilla and plain
as they come. Warussh never had a single
negative write-up in his entire time with the
company, and was even entered for
numerous awards during his tenure.
And aside from his personal information
such as his last known address and comm
channel, there is nothing of value for the PCs
to find inside.
Phase 1 Engineering Department
The entire Department is made up of a
bunch of tiny little offices not much more
spacious or prestigious than cubicles from
one end of the area to the other.
Kincaid will hit the intercom button on the
outside of the locked doors, and identify that
he will be escorting in a number of
un-badged individuals equal to the number of
PCs present, and asks for the area to be
“made secure”.
He will then patiently wait for someone to
come open the door from the inside, once all
of the sensitive data has been put away, and
all computers screens have been put to
sleep mode.
A female Duros will come to open the door,
and introduce herself as Sehnu Zhaks the
Department Head and former supervisor of
Warussh.
Sehnu will let the PCs know the following :
▪ “As I am sure you learned from his
personnel file, Warussh was a model
employee.”
▪ “He was the most reliable Engineer she
had on staff. Always on time, always
actively engaged in his work, never once
even used the companies Holonet Access
for non-work purposes.”
▪ “He never once had even a single
personal conflict with anyone on staff,
everybody loved him.”
▪ “I have no idea why he decided to leave
here and throw it all away, especially given
how close he was to solving the issues
they were having on their “Recycled
Tibana Gas Project”…
▪ “He was so close to cracking the right
synthesizing agent to allow them to get a
whole second round of blaster fire out of
each used clip. Would have made the
company billions in re-selling them to the
Imperial Army at a reduced cost.”
▪ “And for those kinds of cost savings, the
Army said they would even get over the
strange blue colored blaster bolts the
recycled tibana gas put off from the
re-loaded clips.”
All in all she has no idea why he left, and a
large part of her just assumes that it is all
some kind of mistake. Despite the fact that
local law enforcement has recovered his
DNA all over the raided Rebel Complex, and
it matches those on file which Borstel
required to get his top secret clearance.
ENCOUNTER III : 7TH PRECINCT
The 7th Police Precinct in Temmell City is the
department that is heading up the Rebel Cell
investigation. And is located just across the
city from Borstel’s compound.
The Desk Sergeant will call back to Alieen
Rath, the Detective overseeing the case to
see if she is able to meet with the PCs.

DETECTIVE ALIEEN RATH
Alieen is a female Nautolan on the younger
side of her middle years. She is the head
Detective for the 7th Precinct, which is no
small feat given her young age for a
Department Lead. Let alone the fact that Law
Enforcement on Belderone has historically
been primarily a “Boys Club”.
Alieen has gotten where she is by her wits,
her determination, and her never ending
desire to see justice served, and the bad
guys put away behind bars.
And when the PCs meet with her, she will
make no attempt to hide her anger at the fact
that ISB Agent Conners just waltzed in and
took over her investigation, along with the
appropriate documents signed by the Prefect
of Belderone himself.
And will then inform the PCs that she is in a
closed door meeting, and they will have to
wait, or come back another time.
Before they can leave though, the Precinct
doors will open and two people will emerge
side by side.
The first is a female Nautolan in a grey
pant suit, complete with a shining detectives
badge clipped to her belt and on prominent
display.
The second is a young human man
dressed in the impeccably well kept official
uniform of an ISB Agent.
Just before passing the PCs and exiting the
building, he will turn to the woman, with a
haughty look in his eye, and tell her
“Pleasure doing business with you Detective
Rath. I’ll be sure to fill you in on all the
particulars after I get done doing your job for
you.”
And then without waiting for a reply, he will
walk out of the room like he owns it.

Oblivious to the fact that the PCs are there,
Alieen will let out a string of curses that
would make even a Miner on Kessel blush
red.
And when she is finally run out of swear
words, the Desk Sergeant will awkwardly
clear his throat, and let her know that “she
has visitors”.
If she is the least bit embarrassed at the
things she said, she will not let on to it at all.
And will instantly turn toward the PCs, look
them over somewhat critically, and then
wave them back toward her office.
Once seated behind her desk, she will ask
the PCs what she can do for them? And
listen intently to what they have to say,
weighing their intent by their words.
Alieen will let the PCs know the following :
• “She is no longer, as of 2 minutes ago, “on
the case”. As the ISB Agent they just saw
has gotten jurisdiction from the planets
Prefect to run the case himself.”
• “He even had the Precincts Chief-Of-Staff
pull all case files and evidence, and
transfer them to his temporary office. So
she doesn’t even have access to any data
that she doesn’t mentally recall herself.”
• “All she knows is that Agent Conners, the
ISB Agent, came to the planet months ago
with intel that pointed towards an active
Rebel Cell operating out of the city.”
• “Conners went on to plan a raid, backed
by the special operations teams from all 9
Police Precincts in Temmell, and
successfully captured all Rebels inside the
compound, aside from Warussh.”
• “Uniformed Law Enforcement personnel,
at Conners direction, had set up a city
wide perimeter around all of Temmell City,
in the event that anyone slipped past
capture during their raid, and had
searched 100% of traffic into or out
Temmell City since then.”
• “So we know that Warussh is still
somewhere in the city. Just not where yet.”
• “There have been zero sightings of the
Quarren, despite having his picture
plastered all over the news feeds.”
• “It’s like he is a ghost, which is strange,
given that he is an Engineer, and all of the
other Rebels he joined up with are in
custody.”
• “So who is helping him? That’s the real
question!”
Other than that, Alieen doesn’t have
anything else to give the PCs to work with,
seeing that all of her files are taken.
INVESTIGATION INTERLUDE
Just as the PCs are finishing up their
conversation with Detective Aileen, they hear
a call go out over her police issued
commlink.
The Dispatch Office is calling for all units to
converge on an address, listed as the
Praxtar Credit Union in Downtown Temmell
City.
Dispatch relays that a group of armed
gunmen have taken the customers and
Credit Union Employees hostage in an
attempted robbery gone wrong.
The first Police Unit to arrive onsite tried to
enter the facility, and were violently gunned
down in the street, three presumed dead. So
all personnel are informed to take caution.
Suspects were first thought to be utilizing
Stun weapons, due to the blue colored blasts
they emitted, but apparently their blasters
emit blue colored blaster bolts, instead of the
red bolts common to tibana gas powered
weapons.
Suspects are in the process of making a
list of demands to the remaining onsite units,
via the Credit Unions Comm-lines.
Aileen will rush out of her Office, asking
another Detective to see the PCs out as she
rushes out of the building.
OFFICER KULVEEN SATINE
Officer Satine is a Mirialan Female of late
years, who has decided to simply stay a
“Beat Cop” versus trying to move up in rank,
because she prefers to stay on the streets
where she feels she can do the most good.
She has little patience for politics and the
schemes of what she feels sadly is most of
the Police Force now-a-days. And has a
track record of “bending the rules” in order to
see that the people of Belderone are kept
safe.
While Satine would consider herself a
law-abiding citizen, she also understands
that the law are sometimes made by people
who have little to no understanding of how
the Galaxy actually operates, let alone who
much between their ears to begin with.
And so she is willing to “bend” the rules,
sometimes almost to the point of breaking
them, in order to get things done that make
the world a better place for all.
If the PCs do not try to outright lie to her, or
feed her a line of bantha poodoo, than she
can be coerced to allow them through the
Police Cordon.
This story will also be plastered all over
every news feed on planet. As the Reporters
for each news outlet on Belderone will all
scramble to be the first to report the latest
news on the incident.
ENCOUNTER IV : PRAXTAR CREDIT
UNION
By the time that the PCs get to the Praxtar
Credit Union, whether coming straight over
from the 7th Precinct, or by seeing the
developments on the local News Feeds, the
entire block surrounding the large building
will be cordoned off by the Belderone Police
Force.
And the PCs will be forced to watch from a
distance by the Cops of the 8th Precinct who
are diligently watching the perimeter.

The Firefight
Whether the PCs are inside of the Police
Cordon or not at the time, at an appropriate
moment, it is time for the Criminals inside of
the Credit Union to make their desperate last
ditch run at getting away.
Deciding that there is no way that the
Police are going to give into their demands,
the would-be robbers decide to blow out one
of the back walls of the Credit Union, and
make a run for it.
Four criminals quickly exit from the building
even before all of the rubble has fully settled
from their home made bomb, and they
quickly make their way down the back alley
streets directly away from the PCs position.
The men and women of the PD are quick
to rush after them, and all pretense of
holding the cordon is quickly lost, as the
Officers both Uniformed and Plain Clothes
are quick to follow these Cop-Killers.
Even Officer Satine breaks ranks, and
heads off directly after the running criminals
with her sidearm in hand. And the PCs
overhear the frantic voice of Detective Aileen
Rath screaming at them all over Satine’s
shoulder mounted commlink to hold
positions, though it the words seem to do
little good as she continues rushing after the
fleeing criminals.
And just as Officer Satine starts to cross
the pile of rubble in the alleyway, eyes on the
backs of the bank robbers, her weapon
aimed at their backs as she starts to draw a
bead on them, a fifth figure exits from the
rough opening blasted in the Credit Unions
wall. A Blaster Pistol in its hand, aimed
directly at the back of the Officer’s head.
Have the PCs make a Hard ( ) member of a notorious swoop gang. Evident
Vigilance check to try and act before the
Gunman gets the drop on Officer Satine. The
PCs that pass can get a surprise round on
the Gunman and act before him.

Swoop Gang Thug
The five individuals who attempted to rob the
Praxtar Credit Union are all members of the
Sons of Silence, a Swoop Bike Gang that
operates out of the custom swoop repair
shop, Custom Creations Company or as
simply “Triple C” by the locals.

Abilities: None.
Equipment: Light Blaster Pistol (Ranged [Light];
Damage 5; Critical 4; Range [Medium]; Stun Setting),
and Modified Swoop Bikes.
If all of the PCs fail their vigilance checks,
then the Gunman is able to get the drop on
Officer Satine, and will callously put a blaster
bolt into the back of her head, killing her
instantly.
But, if even one of the PCs passes their
check, and acts in an appropriate way to
either warn Officer Satine, or attack the
Gunman outright, than Officer Satine is able
to dodge out of harms way and avoid the
assassination attempt.
The Gunman, a Swoop Ganger from the
Sons of Silence, and the last participant in
the failed Credit Union robbery. Is not looking
to have a knock-down drag-out fight here in
the streets.
And truth be told, the Devaronian Male is
about as cowardly as they come for a
by his staying behind as the others fled and
took most of the heat off of him. And doubled
down with the fact that he was going to
shoot Officer Satine down in cold blood, only
after she had passed him by.
 Whether the PCs get the drop on the
Swoop Ganger before he puts a blaster bolt
clean in the back of Officer Satine’s head, or
after. As soon as he realizes that he is out
numbered, he will bolt and attempt to lose
the PCs in the twisting streets and alleyways
of Temmell City.
All the while in the background both he and
the PCs can hear the clattering of gunfire as
it seems that the Police and the rest of the
robbery crew are having it out just a few
streets over from the PCs location.
The Chase
Following the rules outlined in the sidebar
titled “The Chase” on page 241 of the Edge
of the Empire Core Rulebook, the PCs will
now have to run the Swoop Ganger down in
order to try and question the Devaronian.
Chase parameters:
• The PCs will start out at Medium Range
of the fleeing Swoop Ganger.
• The chase will end when either the PCs
manage to close the distance down to
Engaged Range, or the Swoop Ganger
manages to get to Extreme Range.
• If the PCs manage to get within Engaged
Range of the Swoop Ganger, then have
them describe narratively how they
managed to subdue the Devaronian
Criminal, and get his side arm away from
him.
• If the Swoop Ganger manages to get out
to Extreme Range of the PCs, than the
Devaronian has managed to give them the
slip and make is way to the safety of the
crowded streets.
Successful Capture
If the PCs are successful in their chase of
the Swoop Ganger, then they are now in
possession of Yemett Rendell, and can get
the following information from him with a
round of successful questioning.
Yemett Rendell
Yemett is a rather young looking Devaronian
Male with skin coloring that is such a faint
pigment of red, that it almost looks more
orange in the sunlight.
Yemett is decked out in a set of thick black
colored riding pants common to Swoop
Racers around the Galaxy at large.
Complete with durasteel plates sewn into the
fabric at the knees and shins, for protection
from environmental hazards when racing
through undeveloped areas.
His torso is covered in a thin plastic
all-weather poncho, which does little to hide
the bulkiness of another jacket worn
underneath it.
Which if the PCs investigate, they will find
it to be the matching riding jacket to his
pants, complete with all the regalia and
patches associated with a member of the
Swoop Gang known as the Sons of Silence.
And a name tag on his left breast that
identifies his “Club Name” as Tough-Nut.
What information Yemett will give freely:
• He will admit to being Yemett Rendell, a
22 year old resident of Temmell City.
• He will admit to being a “full-colored”
member of the Sons of Silence Swoop
Racing Club with the Temmell City
Chapter.
• He will also make sure that the PCs know
that this job had nothing to do with the
Club itself, he did this on his own with a
few friends not affiliated in any way with
the Sons.
• The PCs can make a Difficult ( )
Perception check vs Yemett’s Deception
to see that he is clearly lying about this not
being a Sons of Silence operation.
• He will offer up no other information freely,
asking to be turned over to the Cops,
cause “he ain’t no Womprat”.

 As stated earlier, Yemett isn’t exactly the
most steadfast and courageous of the Sons
of Silence, and so any further attempts to get
more information out of him can be
accomplished with any Social Skill the PCs
would like to try.
But due to his inherent cowardice, any
Intimidation checks against him will give the
PCs a to their checks for his weak will.
Additional Information that Yemett has:
• The other four members of the Sons of
Silence that we part of the Credit Union
job with him today were; Grit
(Transdoshan Male), Basher (Dug Male),
Lightweight (Human Male), and
Ball-Buster (Chiss Female).
• After the job they were supposed to meet
up at the safe house, which is flat 1312 in
the Evermeet Towers apartment complex
building.
• As the junior most member of the Sons,
Yemett was just happy to finally be asked
along on a job, and doesn’t know much
else about the Sons off-the-books jobs.
• As far as the Blue colored blaster bolts go,
all Yemett knows is that Pops (the current
leader of the Sons) recently made a deal
with their “weapons guy” to get these
fancy new ammunition clips for about half
the cost of the normal ones.
• Aside from the fact that they have the
strange coloring issue with their
emissions, these new clips are just as
effective and lethal as the factory
ammunition.
• Yemett will profess that he knows nothing
else, and is being honest, as he is the
lowest man on the Sons totem pole, and
was luck to even be included in this job at
all.

ENCOUNTER V : “Triple C”
Creative Custom Company is a decent sized
Swoop repair shop located on the north side
of Temmell City, in a rather less than savory
part of town, where the more respectable
citizens know well and good to avoid all
together if possible.
Although the shop itself has no “official”
ties to the Sons of Silence Swoop Gang,
anyone who is anyone knows that this is
their Headquarters.
And all over the neighborhood the PCs can
spot the logo from their club patch, the Three
eye-socket skull with its lips sewn crudely
shut in white on black.
Triple C is a sturdy Duracrete Building with
6 repair bays, all currently open to the
outside with numerous Swoops, Speeders,
and assorted custom engines and repulsor
drives in various stages of repair spread
throughout.
The yard around the building is fairly small,
with the building itself set in the middle back
half of the lot (medium range from the front
gate to the property). While the front half of
the lot contains a customer parking lot on the
right hand side (which is currently empty
aside from 3 swoops that look to be highly
modified), and the left hand side of the front
half is made up of a parking lot for units
either just completed or waiting repairs
(which is littered with several different
swoops at the moment).
Aside from Pops, who is almost always
found at the shop no matter the hour, there
are also enough other club members on-shift
at Triple C to outnumber the PCs when they
arrive.
Pops will start off any conversation with the
PCs in a friendly way, and will try to deflect
as much as possible any claims of guilt or
involvement with the Sons of Silence and her
business.
Dasha “Pops” Trellik their rightful place as the Kings of the
Temmell City underground.
Dasha is a Female Togruta her middle years
and has ironically inherited the name Pops Dasha “Pops” Trellik (Nemesis)
from the former leader of the Sons of
Silence, her mentor and sponsor to the

all of the other Sons fell back into their
places and once again followed her every
lead.
Well, than her anonymous call to the
Praxtar Credit Union this morning, warning
them of a potential threat to the Temmell City
branch would serve two purposes instead of
just one.
Aside from removing her biggest rival in the
club as of late, the very capable and
ambitious Ball-Buster herself. She would
also get the rest of the club to fall back inline,
and allow her to keep guiding the Sons to

 The bottom line is that Pops, much like the
rest of the Sons, have been in this game for
a long time. And know exactly what happens
to filthy little womprats that go squealing out
the names of their contacts at the first sign of
trouble.
And are not going to give up any
information voluntarily. Especially given that
they are on their “home turf”, and feel that
they have the advantage with out numbering
the PCs.
Aside from Pops herself, the GM should
add a number of Swoop Gangers that are
onsite with her to at least outnumber the PCs
by one, and possibly more depending on the
composition of the PCs party.
If the PCs are more focused toward
combat as a whole, feel free to toss in a few
extra Swoop Gangers here to really make
this encounter a challenge for the PCs.
But of the PCs are more focused on social
skills as a party, than maybe just add the
minimum Swoop Gangers onsite to give
them a single extra body over the PCs.
If the Sons are defeated:
If the PCs manage to subdue Pops and the
other Sons in anyway, than the PCs are able
to get the name of the Sons supplier of the
new ammo clips, a Twi’lek Male by the name
of Pratari Cinn.
Pratari owns a small little Communication
Repair shop in downtown Temmell City,
which he obviously uses as a front for his
illegal weapons dealings and other
endeavors according to Pops.
Pops has never met with Pratari herself,
and apparently no one has in years, ever
since he started dealing in arms, the Twi’lek
has never left his living quarters above his
little shop. But a steady flow of food, drink,
and women are said to come in and out of
the apartment flat at all times.

So the Sons instead are forced to conduct
all of their business through the Twi’leks
Droid, a highly modified “SV” Servant unit
with the designation 3NZ0, or Enzo as he
likes to be called.
Other than that, all Pops knows is that
about 5 months ago Pratari gave the Sons a
small shipment of prototype ammo clips for
free, as a sort of trial run to test out his new
product.
And ever since he has been cornering the
market with his ability to undercut his
competition in prices severely.
ENCOUNTER VI : Cinn
Communications
Located in one of the commercial district that
litter downtown Temmell City, this little
communications shop is located on the first
floor of a two story building, which also has a
walk-up stair well leading to the residential
quarters on the second floor.
Cinn Communications, despite being a
front for the criminal dealings of Pratari’s
arms business, is actually quite a successful
little business in it’s own rights.
Thanks to Enzo and the 3 other “LM”
Series Maintenance Droids that work under
his guidance, Cinn Communications has
recently landed the government contract to
maintain all of the handheld communication
devices for all the Police Precincts in
Temmell City and the surrounding boroughs.
And Enzo has made it is personal duty to
make sure that the “Men and Women in
Blue” (which he acknowledges is factually
inaccurate given that the Temmell City
Standard-Issue Police Uniform is actually
black and not blue at all, but as a matter of
making them feel more at ease with him,
Enzo digresses to the sentients weird
sayings in this matter) are not just content
with their service, but that he and his fellow
Droids go out of there way to keep them all
happy.
 And as a result, Cinn Communications is
considered a “Friend of the Force”. And Enzo
has even gone so far as to repair, at no
charge to them, all of the PD’s personal units
as well when needed.
Enzo believes that all of this goodwill
towards the PD will one day pay off in
dividends, and is well worth the risk to them
possibly discovering the illegal activities
done out of the shops secret basement

How Enzo will react to the PCs arrival:
There are several different ways that Enzo
will try to play it when the PCs arrive at the
doorstep of Cinn Communications, and they
all depend on how the PCs decide to come
at him.
As a GM, the biggest thing you have to
keep in mind, is that this is for all intents and
purposes Enzo’s last stand.
After over a hundred standard years of
operating as a slave at worst, or an
indentured servant at best, he has finally
gotten what he feels is the closest thing he
can get to real freedom. And he will not let it
get taken away from him without a fight.
Not that fighting is necessarily his first
option though, as the Droid does have a few
tricks up his sleeves for sure.
Deflection:
The first tactic that Enzo will try to use is
deflecting the PCs away from Cinn
Communications and Pratari to begin with.
He will attempt to use they advanced
protocol and etiquette programming suite he
had installed in himself years ago to lead the
PCs astray in their investigations.
• Enzo will claim to have never heard of the
Sons of Silence, or admit having any
recollection of meeting anyone inquiring
about illegal arms or ammunitions.
• He will re-iterate that he is just a simple
Service Droid, and his programming is
limited to operating this shop and ensuring
that the LM Units in the back of the shop
meet their repair and calibration deadlines.
• He will also drop a hint that, while an
Officer Rance and Deveroe from the 12th
Precinct were in the shop a few days ago,
he overheard them talking about how their
Chief was positive that a low-life Herglic
by the name of Zern was the one pushing
the new blue-blaster ammo on the streets.

Call for Police Back-up:
If Enzo gets the impression that the PCs are
not buying his lies, and will not easily be lead
off of his trail, than he will put out a Comm
call to an Officer Ramset of the local 5th
Police Precinct.
While he knows this might be a desperate
gamble, bringing the Police to his doorstep
with the PCs bearing implications of illegal
activity and wrong doing, he figures that he
has been extremely careful in his dealings
and any evidence that the PCs may have will
be circumstantial at best.
And Officer Ramset is particular is very
fond of the Droid and Cinn Communications
in general, seeing as Enzo set Officer
Ramset’s mother up with a fully automated
communication and monitoring set-up for her
house, so Ramset can keep a careful eye on
his aging mother at all times, who stubbornly
refuses to give up her place and move into a
nursing home.
If the PCs wait on the Police to answer the
call, then Officer Ramset will take the side of
Enzo and Cinn Communications. Unless the
PCs can provide to him some physical
evidence that is.
He will then escort the PCs out of the
repair shop, and warn them that if he hears
of them harassing the upstanding little
business again, he will personally see to it
that his Chief enters a formal complaint and
citation against their IPKC License.
Give them what they want:
If the PCs do not wait for the Police, or if
Enzo thinks that things are going to escalate
too quickly and become violent, than he will
give in, and tell the PCs he will give them
what they want… in exchange for their
silence in his “Masters” illegal activities
Stating that if he is responsible for Pratari’s
arms business being brought to light, that
Partari will disintegrate him for sure.
 He will then offer to lead the PCs down to
the hidden basement, where Pratari is
keeping the Quarren Engineer Warussh.
Enzo will then lead the PCs into the back
of the building, where a little workshop has
been set up for the 2 LM Droids, who are
busy working on all manner of comm units
and their accessories.
Enzo will walk over to the back corner of
the workshop, where three Droid Charging
Stations are set up for him and the LMs. And
extending a fragile looking miniature code
cylinder from his index finger, he will place it
into the diagnostic port of the unit. And
diamond plated floor panel of the charging
station will pivot upward silently, and reveal a
set of duracrete steps that lead downward
below grade.
The steps lead downward some 15 meters
or so, and end in a small heavy blast door
with a serous looking security panel next to
it.
Enzo will inform the PCs that beyond the
door is a small workshop and storage room
where Pratari has been keeping the poor
Quarren locked up and working non-stop for
the Twi’lek, vainly in hopes of earning a spot
on a Smugglers ship off this planet.
The Trap
When Enzo gets to the control panel, he
will extend a second code cylinder from his
opposite index finger, and insert it into the
socket on the security panel.
As soon as he does this, the upper trap
door will once again close, but this time
much faster. And from small ports on each of
the light fixtures in the stairwell a thick green
gas will start to pour out and fill the space as
the lights themselves do dark, leaving them
in darkness.
As the PCs start to choke on the Fretenal
Gas, and try and fight of its effects, Enzo will
begin to lay into the PCs with his hidden

Disruptor Pistol.
Trying to buy time for the PCs to succumb
to the gas and pass out, or for the ally he has
lying in wait behind the blast door to get its
mask on and join the fight, seeing as that at
the second he activated the emergency
protocol with his code cylinder they should
have jumped into action to come to his aid.

wavelengths of light, making them all but invisible in
darkness. When in the darkness or deep shadows, a
Defel gains two Boost dice to all Stealth checks.).
Equipment: Blaster Pistol Ranged [Light]; Damage 6;
Critical 3; Range [Medium]; Stun Setting). Claws
(Brawl; Damage 7; Critical 3; Range [Engaged]).
Frentenal Gas
Used as a heavy sedative and sleeping
agent for various large bodied and hostile
creatures all over the Galaxy, Frentenal Gas
has the ability to render just about any
carbon based life form unconscious given
the time to be properly inhaled.
Each round that the PCs remain in the
Stairwell with the gas, they must pass a
Hard ( ) Resilience check or; suffer 3
strain, add a to all skill checks, and lose
the ability to heal strain in any manner until
the end of the encounter.
After the first round of combat in the
stairwell, the blast door will open up, and
Enzo will duck through into the room beyond
yelling out as he does for a being he calls
Thrash to attack.
Thrash is a Defel Assassin, and the final
layer of defense that Enzo has in protecting
his business. And he is in his element here in
the darkness and shadows.
Thrash will stick to the darkness, and
refrain from using his Blaster Pistol in favor
of his Claws, as it will allow him to strike out
without giving away his location for as long
as possible.
The room behind the Blast door is small
and filled with various weapons crates and
racks of weapons. And any Despairs rolled
can be used by the GM to cause an
explosion that will inflict 5 damage to anyone
engaged with the crates the GM selects.
ENCOUNTER VII : Warussh’s
Workshop
The final room in the basement of Cinn
Communications is the impromptu
Workshop/Prison that Enzo had whipped up
to keep the Rebel Engineer Warussh in while
he was forced to work on his Recycled
Tibana Gas Plant Prototype.
Although he looks worn out and a bit over
worked, he isn’t harmed in any real way, and
looks to be fairly well taken care of by the
Droid.
Affixed to his neck is a Jury-Rigged looking
shock collar, that he will tell the PCs was
activated remotely by Enzo when he was
displeased.
Warussh will beg the PCs not to turn him
over to the Authorities, as that will be a death
sentence, and will try to bribe them with
claims that the Rebel Alliance will double the
price of the Bounty out on his head, if they
can get him off world and into the hands of
the Sector Administrator.
At this point it is up to the PCs to decide
what to do with the Rebel Engineer. Do they
turn him over and fulfill their Bounty, or do
they take pity on him and maybe try to get
him into the hands of the Rebels for a larger
payday?
