3.1 Result and Discussion Work
The result of this project is to create a system for hotel management. The system will
allow performance of the actions needed in order to manage the hotel in a simple and
comfortable way.  This project is based on description about the structure of HOTEL
MANAGEMENT SYSTEM. The objective of the project is to computerize the system
of the hotel. “Hotel Management” is the project not only keeps the record of various
users like customers, manager etc. but as well as it reduce the extensive paper work in
the present system. It wills maker the system more versatile and user friendly. It also
calculates the proper billing slip of high level and middle level customers.

In the present time there is a great rush in hotels, as these have

become necessity for middle and upper class of the society. People travel a lot, stay in hotels,
goes to the hotels for functions, meeting and refreshment. Our project is developed keeping in
mind the general needs of the customers when he goes to the hotel. An important uniqueness
about the described Hotel’s restaurants and bar are available to only those customers who
have already booked room or hall in hotels.

The present scenario offers manual data entry. A lot of time is wasted in creating the reports
as well as maintaining them. In case, if any query arises to get the information about the
booking, queries and registered users, the whole report is re-typed or xeroxed. This seriously
affects the authentication of the system. This kind of hotel management system is totally
outdated and involves high risk of ambiguity and redundancy.

2.4.1 Conclusion

Hotel management system now-a-day have the advantage of modernization. Computer have
done the work more easy. Computer is playing a important role in management. Reports are
made on daily basis for every customer check in or check out which can easily be seen by the
management. Hotel management system has also primary purpose is to provide facilities to
customers. A software for computers makes the things many times easy, these are made as
user friendly and to keep an check and balance in hotel management and accounts as well.
So ,these things are important.

2.4.2 Future Scope

The project has a wide scope, as it is not intended to a particular organization. This project is
going to develop generic software, which can be applied by any businesses organization.
More over it provides facility to its customer. Also the software is going to provide a huge
amount of summary data. The proposed Hotel Booking Management System is to have
everything completely automated and computerized. The software is very easy to use and
manage even for a non technical person. The redundancy and ambiguity will be removed by
assigning every booking a unique number (i.e Booking Number).
