Lonely Landi the Hedgehog

In the dense forest, there lived a hedgehog named Landi who felt lonely. Landi did
not have any friends because his friends were afraid of being poked by the sharp spines on his
body. "Sorry Landi, we want to play with you, but your spines are very sharp," said Cici and
his friends. Landi was left alone. He could only be sad. "Why don't they want to be friends
and play with me? No animal has ever been poked by my spines," Landi muttered to himself.
In the following days, Landi only daydreamed by the river. "Ah, if only all of these
spines of mine disappeared, I could play freely with my friends," Landi said to himself. Landi
felt that his life was not fair, always being avoided by his friends. While he was lost in
thought, Kuku the turtle appeared. "What are you daydreaming about, Landi?" Kuku asked,
surprising him. "Oh, nothing," Landi replied, embarrassed. "If you have a problem, I'm here
to listen," Kuku said.
The turtle Kuku then sat next to Landi. Then Landi began to tell him about his
problem. "You don't have to worry. I'm willing to be your friend. Trust me!" Kuku said while
shaking Landi's hand. Landi's heart was filled with joy. Now he had a friend. "Your shell
looks so heavy. Don't you feel oppressed?" Landi asked. "Oh, not at all. In fact, this shell is
very useful. It can protect me. If there is danger, I just need to pull my head and legs inside.
Isn't that great? And I don't have to worry about finding a place to live. My house can move
around as I please," Kuku the turtle said while demonstrating what he had said. Landi the
hedgehog was entertained.
One day, Landi's friend named Sam Frog had a birthday. Everyone was invited,
including Landi the hedgehog. "Come on Landi, you have to come to the party," Kuku the
turtle begged. "I don't want to because the other friends will probably stay away from me
because they are afraid of being poked by my spines," Landi said sadly. "Don't worry, you're
not alone. I'll accompany you. There will be lots of delicious cakes and of course apples!"
Hearing the word apples, Landi was tempted. He really liked apples. Finally, Landi agreed to
go with Kuku the turtle.
Sam Frog's party was very lively. The fragrance of various flowers was smelled in
every corner of the room. There were two long tables placed on the left and right sides of
Sam Frog's yard. There were various cakes and fruits on them. "Look! Near the table there is
a jug of apple syrup!" Landi said. Landi and Kuku the turtle congratulated Sam Frog. After
blowing out the candles, everyone clapped and sang "Happy Birthday". When dancing,
everyone who was invited avoided Landi the hedgehog. They were afraid of being poked by
Landi's spines. Finally, it was Kuku the turtle who accompanied Landi to dance.
 Suddenly, the fun party stopped with Tito's scream. He came running in fear. "Watch
out! A wicked wolf is coming! Help...! Help...!" he shouted with panting breaths. Everyone
was scared. They ran to save themselves. Because he couldn't run, Kuku the turtle
immediately put his head and legs inside his shell. Meanwhile, Landi the hedgehog quickly
rolled his body into a ball. The wicked wolf chasing Landi's friends didn't see Landi's body.
Suddenly, "Ouch, ouch..." the wicked wolf screamed. He was poked by Landi the hedgehog's
sharp spine. While holding back the pain, the wicked wolf immediately ran away limping. So
Landi and his friends were saved.
"Yay..! Yay...! Long live Landi the hedgehog!" all the animals cheered for Landi.
Landi became embarrassed because of it. "I'm sorry Landi, I've been avoiding you all this
time. But you never hurt me. It turns out that your sharp spines have saved us all," Cici the
rabbit regretted. In the end, everyone who came to Sam Frog's party apologized to Landi the
hedgehog for avoiding him and then they thanked Landi the hedgehog for protecting them
from the wicked wolf. Now, Landi the hedgehog no longer feels lonely. His friends are no
longer afraid of his sharp spines. They even feel safe if Landi is near them.
