During this pandemic, conducting a physical education class becomes extremely

challenging for both students and instructors. In this distant learning setup, there will be more
disadvantage than advantage in executing certain abilities. The first advantage is that we
students have more time to practice our abilities and complete the assigned exercises. We can
practice whatever we want at any time of day, and self-thought is not as horrible as I expected.
The disadvantage would be a lack of suitable equipment and facilities to conduct the activities
well, particularly the table used in table tennis, which nearly none of us have, therefore we just
thought of another alternative to utilize in completing our chosen activity. The second is that
method of teaching and displaying the skills; even though the instructors provide us with
enough material to aid us in accomplishing such abilities, we can't ignore the difference of face-
to-face learning where you can interact and ask for help with the skills that we found tough.
Overall, it has an impact on my performance in the sense that I don't really present it like a pro
or do it all perfectly since I'm a beginner, and it takes time for me to practice the skills to be
able to demonstrate it correctly.
Enrolling in a PE sport class will be a struggle for students, especially those who attend a
sports class with no knowledge of the sport they select, such as myself, who is a total newbie in
table tennis. I would advise them to practice and learn the fundamentals of table tennis, such
as basic serves, strokes, ball controls, and stances, since if they have a solid foundation in these
fundamentals, they will be able to perform effectively in the real game. Having a great skill in
table tennis is not an overnight sleep, especially for a beginner, but with extensive practice and
hard work in learning these basic skills, they will be highly ready to enter a genuine game table
tennis competition.
While watching the videos supplied to us, I enjoyed watching sports and was impressed
by the players. In general, I enjoyed watching table tennis; it's a game where speed is a very
significant aspect in my opinion, because when watching the videos, I could see how rapidly the
ball was rallying from both players, as well as the speed reaction that they had when the ball
touched their side of the table. Their stances and reflexes also played an important role in their
game, as evidenced by how precise their stances are and how quick their reflexes are to strike
the ball. Furthermore, the athletes' power in every stroke and serve is simply outstanding; they
are true professionals in these sports. Table tennis may not be a popular sport, but it deserves
to be recognized. Table tennis is a difficult activity for beginners, and it requires some
equipment to be performed successfully. Furthermore, it is a sport in which discipline and
technical mastery are highly important; each player must work hard in order to become a pro
player, winning competition in table tennis. As a student enrolled in this class and a beginner, I
found these sports to be really fun and a fantastic way to spend my leisure time, even if it was
only honing ball control. Finally, table tennis is an incredible sport that develops each player
into a powerful, disciplined, and champion not only in sport but also in life.
If I had to assess my overall skills for my performance in table tennis, I would give myself
a 7 because I was a beginner when I enrolled in this course and finished it as a beginner.
Seventh, since there are still many areas in which I need to grow and master in order to excel in
a real table tennis game. I'm still unfamiliar with the laws and regulations that are employed in
this activity, and it will take some time for me to develop the fundamental skills required in
table tennis. Before I can play a real game of table tennis against an opponent, I need to
develop my skills and practice a lot more. My progress in mastering these talents may be
gradual, but it is still progress, and with consistent practice, dedication, and hard work, I hope
to be able to compete in these sports and someday play a real game of table tennis. Also, I
counted my efforts in learning these sports, so giving myself an average credit is something I
think I deserve.
I would never exchange my experiences in this class for anything. Learning table tennis
made me discover a lot of things in life. Table tennis is a sport for some, but it is their life, love,
and dream for others. While creating many videos for the needed activity, I found that this
sport is not easy; it requires a lot of patience, practice, and hard effort to be able to
demonstrate the skills effectively, which is where I struggle. Watching the pro players compete
in big time table tennis championships surprised me; I salute them for being outstanding
athletes that succeed so much in such a difficult sport. But it also occurred to me that they, too,
began as beginners, but with patience, discipline, countless sacrifices, and hard work, they were
able to rise and fly high in this sport, proudly representing not only themselves, but also their
countries in international tournaments. And as what Hershel Walker said “If you train hard,
you’ll not only be hard, you’ll be hard to beat”.
