Job Description for a Therapist with a Leading Gaming Company

Location: Hyderabad, Work from Office – Monday – Friday regular shifts

Position Overview:
For many people, online gaming is harmless fun, but it can become a problem. This
type of "Compulsive behaviour" is often called "problem gambling". To avoid the
"Compulsive behaviour" turning to a "Gambling Addiction", which is a progressive
addiction, leaving to negative psychological, physical, and social repercussions, Head
Digital Works, discourage such users to play their games and rather promotes to
register as a 'fun'. Therefore, we are looking to hire a therapist to provide an
adequate assistance in curbing the "Gambling disorder".

Key Skills
• Diagnose and communicate to the player of its financial consequences,
personal health, overall impact on its lifestyle.
• Map the disorder/symptom that can be curbed and discuss with the player.
• Spread the positivity and motivate the player to take a break and might come
back after resting few months.
• Understand the behaviour and its root cause that have made the players as a
'dependable person';
• Include the Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) to reduce the urge to gamble
by systematically exposing the players to the behaviour.
• Addressing the online gaming policies, underage and gambling addictions.

Must Have:

• A clinical psychologist having a minimum of 3 years of experience in providing


healing to the individuals.
• Trained clinical psychologists that can help the players to seek formal
evaluation of their gambling behaviour.
• A clinical therapist providing a detailed assessment and develop an adequate
treatment plan, based on the individual player's addiction.
• Provides an assistance, therapy that can address various aspects of the player's
life, family, education, financial issues, any legal problems, and
• professional situation.
• A therapist who can provide and able to refer the player to an appropriate
treatment.
• Always a go-getter, remain calm on taking the problems with an individual
player, and refrain from preaching, lecturing, or getting angry.
• Always open to the problem discussing and to work long hours.
• Set boundaries regarding family finances and avoid paying off the individual's
gambling debts.
