Speech of Introduction

Distinguished (mention the officials to be mentioned)…, members of the

faculty and support staff, beloved parents, guardians and benefactors, candidates for

graduation, guests and visitors, ladies and gentlemen, good afternoon and my

warmest felicitations and welcome to the ___________________________________!

As this momentous event in the lives of our pupils, we recognize their academic

achievements. I am deeply honored to introduce to you our Guest Speaker for this

year’s ___________________________________________. We are indeed very fortunate

to have with us a woman of character and of success.

Our Guest Speaker is a native of Catbalogan City born on July 8, 1983. She is

the eldest (?) daughter of Mr. _____ and _____ Cinco. She is an alumna of this school

Batch _____. She had her high school at the Samar National School and graduated

last ___(year). Our Guest Speaker is a graduate of BS in Medical Technology at the

Silliman University, Dumaguete City. Spanning her academic horizons, she finished

a Doctor on Medicine degree at the Remedios T. Romualdez Medical Foundation,

Tacloban City.

Currently, she is a Medical Officer IV at the Eastern Visayas Regional Medical

Center (EVRMC), Tacloban City since January 2017. As a Medical Officer, she

examines, diagnoses, and treats patients in the Out Patient Department (OPD) and

the Emergency Room. She also accommodates OB-GYNE cases in a form of referrals.
Being an expert of her field, she acts as a team consultant of case reports and research

proposals. In addition, she also supervises resident physicians assigned to her ward.

Noted by her commendable performance, she is affiliated to the Philippine

Medical Association and Leyte Medical Society as Member. Having the passion to

serve those who are in need, she serves as a Volunteer to medical missions like that

of the Free Prenatal Check-up of EVRMC and the Kapit Bisig Para sa Kalusugan

Pangakalahatan Surgical Mission.

At times, our Guest Speaker is invited to share her expertise as Resource

Speaker to training courses like that of the Skills Training Course in Progestin-Only

Subdermal Implant (Insertion, Removal and Replacement) and the 2018 Creation of

the Service Delivery Network Manual of Procedures.

Being open towards personal and professional growth, our Guest Speaker

attended several training programs, to wit:

 Residency Training for Obstetrician-Gynecologist (OB-GYNE) last 2013

to 2017;

 Competency Based Training on Post Partum Family Planning in 2014;

 Orientation Training on Recognition, Reporting, Recording and

Referral of Cases of Violence Against Women and Children in 2016;

 Family Planning Competency-Based Training Level 2 on Bilateral

Tubal Ligation by Mini-Laparatomy Under Local Anesthesia in 2017;

  Family Planning Competency-Based Training Level 2 on Skills Training

Course for Progestin Subdermal Implant, Insertion and Removal; and

the

 Medical Certification on Cause of Death Training in 2018.

Friends, ladies and gentlemen join me in welcoming our guest speaker for this

EASTERN VISAYAS REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER AND AN ALUMNA OF

THIS SCHOOL, OUR VERY OWN, DR. ANTONETTE DAGUMAN CINCO!
