Subject: INSPIRATIONAL MESSAGE FOR THE

VIRTUAL IN-SERVICE TRAINING 2 (VINSET 2)
ON 30 AUGUST 2021

The Department of Education, through the Office of the Undersecretary for

Administration (OUA), Information and Communications Technology Service-
Educational Technology Unit (ICTS-EdTech), in coordination with the Office of the
Undersecretary for Curriculum and Instruction (OUCI) and the Office of the
Undersecretary for Field Operations (OUFO) will conduct a Virtual In-Service
Training 2 (VINSET-2) from August 30 to September 3, 2021.

The VINSET 2 aims to achieve the following:

1. Capacitate teachers in using different online modality platforms of DepEd

that include DepEd Learning Management System, DepEd Commons,
DepEd Online (FB Page, YouTube, ETULAY Tutorial Sessions), DepEd TV,
and DepEd Radio.
2. Discuss and provide awareness on proper handling of the different
components of cyber wellness (data privacy, netiquette, and
troubleshooting).
3. Teach emerging technology tools and applications in a synchronous and
asynchronous format-delivering instruction maximizing the use of a
cross-platform operating system; and
4. Inspire teachers to innovate and capacitate their skills by giving guided
programs in using different solutions and acquire international
certification under Microsoft, Adobe, and Google.

In this regard, this office would like to invite you to give an Inspirational
Message on the first day of the Virtual INSET which will be on 30 August 2021
morning session. Either recorded or live streamed, your message will surely be very
inspiring for our teachers. The url will be sent for the option of going live.

 The participants to this activity are the public-school teachers; thus, this
webinar is also open to private schools and international participants.

Topics on DepEd’s Open Educational Resources (OER) and the use of DepEd
Learning Management System (DLMS)will be a big part of the webinar. Integration
of technology in teaching-learning process and handling and managing cyber
issues and cases will also be shared. Also, the Google and Microsoft Apps and latest
programs will also be part of the sessions.

Likewise, the Bureau of Learning Delivery, noted for their techniques and
learning delivery styles and approaches, are requested to showcase/exhibit their
initiatives and practices.
