Electrical Safety
I. Hazardous voltage
Some components of the power supply system carry hazardous voltage in operation.
Direct contact or indirect contact through moist objects with these components will
result in fatal injury.
Observe safety rules in the industry when installing the power supply system. The
installation and operation personnel must be licensed to operate high voltage and
AC power.
In operation or installation, any conductive objects, such as keys, tools, watches,
bracelets, bangles and rings are forbidden to be hung or wared.
When you spot the cabinet with water or moisture, turn off the power immediately. In
moist environment, precautions must be taken to keep moisture out of the power supply
system. "Prohibit" warning label must be attached to the switches and buttons that are
not permitted to operate during installation.
High voltage operation may cause fire and electric shock. The connection and wiring
of AC cables must be in compliance with the local rules and regulations. Only those
who are licensed to operate high voltage and AC power can perform high voltage
operations.
II. Tools
III. Thunderstorm
4
Never operate on high voltage, AC, iron tower or mast in the thunderstorm.
The ESD generated by the human body will damage the ESD sensitive elements on
PCBs, such as large-scale ICs. Before touching any plug-in board, PCB or IC chip, ESD
wrist strap must be worn to prevent body ESD from damaging the sensitive
components. The other end of the ESD wrist strap must be well earthed.
V. Hotsurface
When the power rectifier is running in the environment of high temperature, the
surface of the rectifier is hot. Please be careful when you plug or extract the rectifier.
At the same time, you may be injured by falling rectifier.
VI. Fire
Please obey the standard operation rules when you connect any cable connectors
and ensure reliable connection to avoid an accident, such as fire and damage of
equipment.
Please do the similar operation when you connect AC cable, or it will make the SPD
on fire or damage when phase line and zero line are in wrong connection.
During operation, never short the positive and negative poles of the DC distribution
unit of the power supply system or the Non-grounded pole and the earth. The power
supply system is a constant-voltage DC power device; short circuit will result in
equipment burning and endanger human safety.
Check the polarity of the cable and connection terminal when performing DC
live operations.
As the operation space in the DC distribution unit is very tight, please carefully select
the operation space.
Never wear a watch, bracelet, bangle, ring, or other conductive objects during
5
operation. Use insulated tools.
In live operation, keep the arm, wrist and hand tense, so that when the tool in
operation slips, the movement of the human body and tool is reduced to a minimum.
6
BLVD
The power supply system has battery low voltage disconnection (BLVD) function. BLVD
means when battery voltage drops down to 44V, the power supply system cuts the load off
to prevent over-discharge.
BLVD is enabled before delivery, which means that if power outage lasts for a long time or
the power supply system fails, there may trigger BLVD. Users should classify the loads
and connect the priority loads to BLVD routes. For vital loads, users can disable BLVD to
ensure reliability of the power supply.
The function of BLVD is protecting the batteries from over-discharge. The disadvantage of
BLVD is that when the battery voltage drops down to a certain value, all the loads
(including non-priority loads and priority loads) will be cut off due to battery disconnection.
The advantage of disabling BLVD is prolonging the power supply of priority loads. The
disadvantage is that disabling cannot prevent unwanted power failure due to mis-operation
or power supply system failure.
Others
I. Safety
When replacing power input fuses of monitoring module and power distribution units, use
the same type fuses to meet the safety requirement.
When moving equipment by hand, wear protective gloves to avoid injury by sharp object.
Please verify the cable labels and the silkscreen of the power supply before connection.
The signal cables should be routed at least 150mm away from power cables.
7
Introduction

Feature
The enclosure AAOB OD dual bay cabinet L (Steel) has the following main features:
The system has wide AC input voltage range: 85Vac - 300Vac.
The rectifier uses soft switching technology, the efficiency is up to 96%.
The rectifier design can meet EMC requirement and safety requirement in CE standard.
The rectifier is of high power density.
The rectifier is hot pluggable. It takes less than 1min to replace a rectifier.
The rectifier has two optional over-voltage protection methods: hardware protection and
software protection.
The controller will manage the system including battery charging and discharging, LLVD,
BLVD, temperature compensation, auto voltage regulation, current limitation, battery capacity
calculation and on-line battery test, alarms, etc.
RS485 and Ethernet are available for remote communication and controlling, as well as
relay outputs are available, too.
The system has complete fault protection and alarm functions.
ECO Mode enabling energy savings.(In the ECO mode, the monitoring module controls
some rectifier modules to turn off and makes the rectifier modules powered on bear all loads.
Each rectifier module powered on works at the optimal efficiency point whenever possible, to
improve the utilization rate of the rectifier module and reduce energy consumption. For
rectifier modules having entered the off state, the monitoring module will power them on after
a certain period of time (i.e., the set value of “Period Time” shown in Table. 22); after these
rectifier modules run for some time, the monitoring module will control the rectifier modules
8
having worked for a long period to turn off again. The two states switch in cycles, ensuring
that the rectifier modules in the system start working closely. In case of change in battery
current or load current in the system, the monitoring module will control some working rectifier
modules to turn off according to the actual situation, or control some rectifier modules in off
state to turn on and start working. Under any circumstances, the system will ensure that at
least one rectifier module works after turned on.)

Bat Capacity is known as the nominal
capacity of the battery. You should set this
12~ parameter according to the actual battery
Bat Capacity 100Ah
5000Ah configuration. If you have multiple batteries in
parallel, It should be set to the sum of the
battery rated capacity of the installation.
In the FC state, all rectifiers output voltage
42V~
Float Volt 53.5V according to the set float voltage. The float
Boost Volts voltage must be lower than boost voltage.
Float In the BC state, all rectifiers output voltage
Boost Volt 56.4V according to the set boost voltage. The boost
Volts~58V
voltage must be higher than the float voltage.
This is the maximum charging current that
should be allowed into the battery at any time,
as regards to the nominal capacity of the
0.1~ battery. For example, a value of 0.2C10
Bat. Current Limit 0.1C10
0.6C10 means that the charging current is limited to
20% of the battery’s nominal capacity.
Notice: C10 means the nominal capacity of
the battery.
