M onitoring in Digital Map

Measurement data and serving lines are visualized in digital map in real-time during measurement. Internal GPS of smart phone is used for
location information, and if you import BTS/Repeater data, map displays their information. Digital map supports two map types; image map and
satellite map.

Data is displayed in the digital map greatly depending on the internet access speed of the smart phone itself. Data is updated faster in LTE
coverage area than in 3G coverage area.

On: When data throughput satisfies the user-configured Pending conditions, the current
call is terminated and the next call is started automatically.
- Interval: If the throughput value remains under the configured threshold value for the
Pending configured interval period, Pending event is declared and the call is terminated.

configured threshold value for the configured interval period, Pending event is declared
and the call is terminated.
On: If file transfer is completed in traffic time, compare to Ref.Throughput with the
average throughput(Success/Low Throughput). The call result is depending on the
Network Thp comparison result. If it is same or higher than Ref.Thp, the call result is ‘Success’. Or if
it is lower than Ref.Thp, the call result is ‘Low Throughput’.
- Ref.Thp : Threshold of throughput for the call judgement.

A ppendix 6. RTP Analysis in VoLTE

Audio and Video stream are sent through RTP protocol.

XCAL-Mobile User Guide Appendix 6. RTP Analysis in VoLTE

The following items will be calculated by decoding RTP packets and calculating the methods mentioned. They will calculate every packet
received and display every second in XCAL-Mobile.

Parameter Description
Rx Delay Time difference of RTP timestamps from previous RTP packet and current RTP packet
Rx Delay = R(i) – R(i-1)
Inter Arrival time It is the time difference in relative transit time expressed as
Difference D(i, j) = {R(i) – R(i-1)} – {S(j) – S(i-1)}
Here, S(j) is the RTP timestamp from packet j sent and R(i) is the RTP timestamp from packet i received
Inter-Arrival Jitter It is calculated over packets that arrived consecutively as follows.
If J(i) represents the Inter-Arrival Jitter for packet, i and D (i – 1, i) represents Inter-Arrival Time Difference between consecutive
packets, i – 1 and i, then Inter-Arrival Jitter is calculated as,

Jitter value for the first packet is considered zero.

It is calculated at every packet and averaged over one second.
Loss Packet The number of packets lost. RTP Sequence Number helps detect packet losses.
Packet Loss Rate It is calculated as,

.
It is calculated at every second.
RTP Throughput Over DL, the throughput is measured as,

It is calculated at every second.

(Mobile) Test

It is necessary to find the best play volume for MOS(Mobile) Test.

© Copyright by Accuver Co., Ltd. Page 282

XCAL-Mobile User Guide Appendix 7. Configuring Play Volume for MOS (Mobile) Test

Configuring Play Volume

1. Need to check the attenuation level measured by POLQA in counterparty device.

2. Adjust Play volume level until attenuation level measured in the counterparty device using POLQA is between 3 dB and -5dB(close to 0dB).

3. Do the same for the other device.

4. You don’t need to check it up all the times.(Just set once).
