Discuss how globalization affected your religious beliefs and practices.

In general, religion is a collection of beliefs and practices. Individuals are insecure when the life they
once led is contested and changed concurrently as an outturn of the globalization of business and
politics.

As some individuals refuse to accept the new reality and resort to religion to restore their sense of self-
identity, globalization engulfs religion in a bog of conflicts that strengthen social identities. People's
beliefs give them a sense of belonging in a group, and breaking through cultural barriers may help us
improve the world.

The way religions have used worldwide communications is another way that globalization has influenced
religion. Religious organizations can use modern technology to recruit new members, disseminate the
word, and stay in touch with other religious members.
