We often consider globalization to be an economic and political issue, but for many, navigating
our interconnected world is a moral and even religious issue. People of religion seek spiritual guidance
on concerns of prosperity, justice, and international conflict as the speed of globalization accelerates. At
the same time, for many religious leaders, globalization represents a once-in-a-lifetime chance for
evangelization and interfaith engagement.

Religion and globalization have a fluid connection in which the former relies on the latter to
exist and prosper while also resisting its (globalization's) hybridizing effects. Globalization has led to the
internalisation and blurring of geographical places and borders as a result of the advancement of
communication and transportation technologies, as well as the roles performed by the media. As a
result, the world appears to have shrunk to the size of a tiny town, with people, cultures, and identities
coming into daily contact with one another. Religion, without a doubt, is not immune to these changes
and their increasing repercussions brought about by globalization. Religions, on the other hand,
continue to have their separate homes in specific geographical regions where they first arose and where
their individual shrines survive. Religions' inherent character and the desire to be welcomed and
practiced by people all over the world drives them to spread across all geographical regions. Religions, in
order to emerge and expand, make effective use of globalization technology. Religions find it easier to
expand and reach every area of the world when geographical barriers and frontiers are confused and
eliminated. Many academics believe that globalization aims to hybridize other cultures around the
pattern of Western culture, and that it entails liberal principles and norms, religion (especially Islam)
represents a threat to it. This is because Islam's norms and ideals are incompatible with globalization's
liberal values.

Globalization has played a significant influence in creating an environment for the current
significant rebirth and resurrection of religion. Most faiths are no longer confined to the few places
where they originated. Religions have proliferated and dispersed on a worldwide scale.
