QUESTION 1

Discuss what digital workforce is.

Digital workforce can be classified with changing and evolving technology and its usage, it can be

considered as the natural evolution of the workplace. All staff will be necessary to use the

technologies such as email, social media tools, intranet, portals and instant messaging. This is

also a patterns of people or staff in using a computer rules-based tasks. For this group of people,

they will be trained to do work faster and they need to be agile which mean easily adapt towards

technology. For instance, one person or staff can manage one or more processes or task. This is

an additional to the organization as digital workforce can cut down the cost yet rapidly increase

the productivity.

In a nutshell, digital workforce is actually not physical robot but it’s a software application or a

technology systems in IT where people can use to ensure work will get easier and faster. In

additional, the staff need to adapt fast towards this environment and manage to be multitasking.
QUESTION 2

Provide your acceptance on the digital workforce agenda.

Well, looking into future that required everything to get done in a blink of eyes, I believe we can

see digital workforce in a good or positive perception. To even create all that, by mean, the

system, innovation, the main engines for this technology we do need talented people to make it

happen. So, it doesn’t mean by raising the workforce industry, we don’t need people at all.

We can see this digital workforce not only technology as a whole but a problem solver to people.

For instance, it does not necessary for someone to work at the office to complete their job and

task. Even they can complete it everywhere and anywhere and send it through email.

Digital workforce is actually transforming the way organization or people get their work done. With

all the technology, mobile performance support and application that we have now days or in the

future it will facilitating more effective and efficient ways to structure work processes and to apply

labor and expertise.

We are moving forwards now, it will be hard to stay at the old position or not moving at all,

everything will continue to shift not only business but people are also struggling to meet all the

different needs of a multi-generational workforce. Everyone using a smart phone now and

everyone is using internet, so it keep growing and the pace of changes continue to accelerate.

Then I believe the demand of the productivity will be increase too. We can’t stop all of that, I mean

technology from growing, so all we need is to follow with the flow yet balancing it with our life. It

can be good if we wisely manage. Organization might find these benefits is not an easy task as

when then technologies exist to support all the transformations, the gaps will remain. So what

organization can do is to help putting together workable solutions and comprehensive strategies

to moving forwards.
Question 3

If you were forced to become one of them, what specific digital related job you would like

to engage. What are the skills required?

As we are moving forward towards digital worlds, I believe that most of the organization, business

and even government have implemented a digital workplace strategy. It is not necessary in an

advance way, perhaps just with a single step such as working online.

If I were forced to become one, I probably choose to be part of the digital leaders where I be able

to guide and influence others over the digital channels. For instance, it is not necessary for my

team to work at the office as long as their task or job done. How to do it? By updating all the file

online. All the progress can be done just online. Perhaps sometime a meeting. Not too much, as

much as now days where meeting is just to update small matter or progress of work. I don’t find

a concrete reason where you have to be in your workplace 24/7 yet you have done nothing. If

online, you can see who is updating the information, who did not submit the requested task and

what is the progress. If we organized a program or an event, all you need to do is just key in all

the information or specific data in the online data and we can see all the progress, then a week

before the program we can go and check on the venue or other matter that related physically. I

mean at least it save a lot. A video conference where we can do the two way dialogue anywhere

and anywhere will ensure everyone is on track. Digital workforce required a good system and

need for speed especially the internet and anything that related with technology. With the fast-

paced work environment today, employees are required to work faster and collaborate more

effectively to get their jobs done and meet deadlines. Let’s not focus on keep having a meeting

and begin to focus and work on the content and how to achieve more for the organization.
