• Production: Manage quality control, optimize production while achieving prescribed specifications, manage
the storage of 2 or more different grades of products, perform the calculation for shift production, and mark
attendance. And analyze the process through DCS, bringing possible improvements to the process and
keeping the SAP system updated.
• HSE: Trained staff of about 3 helpers about the handling of hazardous chemicals according to HSE
regulations and EHS for their safety, including how to use MSDS and PPE.
• Quality Control: Via the lab report, provide instructions to workers for better manufacturing results and to
ensure proper maintenance of the process equipment.
• Process Improvement: We worked over the sweet water treatment process for crude glycerin production
and suggested an optimum pH level for increasing the concentration of glycerin to 99.99%.
• Database: We created a proper database system using excel sheets so that the production data can be
stored, and I make sure that every shift completes the sheet before leaving. This data can be used in the
future to optimize production, especially Glycerin production.

• Assignments: I took over the line listing task and assisted them in archiving the entire project using provided
process flow and instrumentation diagrams, and HMB sheets with in 4 weeks.
• Research: Got research done for the efficient manufacturing of green energy using corn stover with the
extraction of 99% concentrated ethanol as a by-product, the role of carbon capture in the whole process,
and suggested the use of pressure swing absorption PSA technology for carbon capture.
• Design Projects: Worked in rotations on process design for multiple projects using process simulation tools
(almost 2 per week). Also performed PSV sizing, hydraulics and pumps sizing calculations, and reactor and
column design calculations.

• Experiment-based research in which we compared the Biofuel obtained from pyrolysis and co-pyrolysis of
waste lubricating and cooking oil on yield and 5 different properties using different temperature ranges with
ASTM and OGRA standards.
