Applying law of exponent to solve/simply the problem (algebraic expression w/ exponent)

FIRST STEP:
Reduce the fraction (inside the parenthesis) to the lowest terms. This can be done by applying
the law of exponent;

(1) c 0=1 [Zero exponent rule] Basically matatanggal na siya since no need na naman na ilagay
iyung “1”.

( ) ( )
−4 −4
−7 a2 b3 c 0 −7 a2 b3
3 4 3
= 3 4 3
3a b c 3a b c

(2) [Quotient rule & Negative exponent rule]

o Divide those variables that both appear in the numerator and denominator by
applying qoutient rule.

o Since negative iyung naging sagot (exponent), we have to apply the negative
exponent rule to make it positive.

2 3
a 1 b 1
=a =a = ; 4 =b ¿ b =
2−3 −1 3−4 −1
3
a a b b
( ) (
3 −4

)
2 −4
−7 a b −7
3 4 3
= 3
3a b c 3abc

2ND STEP:
Now that the fraction inside the parethesis has been reduce to lowest terms (simplified), we now
have to express the problem (algebraic expression) with a positive exponent using;

() ()
−n n
a b
=
b a

(To put it simply, i-reciprocal lang iyung fraction para maging positive iyung exponent sa labas.

−4 4
−7 3 ab c3
=
3 ab c 3 −7

3RD STEP:
To raise a fraction to a power (4), raise the numerator and denominator to that power.
(Simply put, distribute lang iyung exponent na ‘4’ sa numerator at denominator)

( )
3 4
3 ab c
−7

iyung final answer hehez)
