The NSTP- CWTS C7 and C8 classes joins hand in hand in accordance to the

parol making contest in celebrating the NSTP DAY 2022 as well as the Christmas
season. The parol will start to exhibit on December 9, 2022 and will be judged on
December 15, 2022. The Officer of each class starts to work fast as well as to make
plans that will be carried out throughout the entire parol making process.
Christmas and Christmas lanterns have always been associated with the star
shape. It is said that the star shape symbolizes the appearance of a bright new star on
the night that Jesus was born. To exhibit creativity and uniqueness, the officers of NTSP
-CWTS C7 and C8 class decided to do a dodecahedron star shaped parol, this parol
feature 12 pentagrammic faces with 5 pentagrams meeting at each vertex. The
dodecahedron star was molded and formed using bamboo sticks and copper wires
thanks to the diligent labor and skillful hands of the C7 and C8 classes. To give meaning
to its shape and color, the class made use of 7 beautiful Sinag colors which represent
the colors of each department and colleges of the Polytechnic State University of Bicol.
This makes sure that the parol's light penetrates the entire community and highlights
the importance of shared love and solidarity. A friendly and encouraging societal
atmosphere is what every society should be, and that is what the parol's multi-sided
structure and the various Sinag colors do to reflect the spirit of Christmas.

The meaning behind the concept of the parol was the solidarity of all the
students in Polytechnic State University of Bicol. All the colors of all the department
of colleges were put into the parol signifying that everyone shines together, everyone
is equal, all is unique, and all is loved and valued. The parol ensures that everyone has
light and that Christmas is approaching and should be celebrated. As Charles M. Schulz
once said, "Christmas is doing a little something extra for someone," and with that, the
NSTP-CWTS C7 and C8 class did an extra creative parol to make everyone feel like
Christmas had arrived.
