3D Snowman Christmas Card

You will need:

• Colourful paper
• White card
• Colourful pens
• Scissors
• Glue
• A circular object to draw around
• (Optional) Extra Christmas decorations

1) First, create a snowy scene as the backgroud of your

Christmas card. Cut a curved piece of white paper to be the
snowy ground, and cut green triangles in a mixture of sizes
to represent evergreen trees.

2) Next, get your white card and draw around your

circular object. I have used a plastic cup. You will need
about six white card circles.

3) Then, cut out your card circles.

4) Put one of the card circles to the side, and fold the rest of
the card circles in half.

5) Put some glue on the back of one half of a folded circle.

Match it up with a folded half of one of the other folded
circles and press to stick together. Repeat this for all of the
folded circles. One you have attached all th folded circles,
glue them to the unfolded circle you put to the side earlier.

6) Position your 3D snowman body in your snowy scene

and use glue to keep in place.

7) Then cut a smaller circle from white paper or card and

glue it above the 3D snowman body. Leave a small gap
between the top of the body and the head so you can add a
scarf later.

8) Use snips of colourful paper to add a hat, nose and scarf

to your snowman.

9) Then use your colourful pens or pencils to add a face to

your snowman. You could also choose to add some stick
arms using pen.

10) Use a light colourful pencil to add a shadow under your

snowman so it stands out against the white snowy
background.

11) Finally, glue your snowman to some folded card and

add any final craft decorations, such as these sparkly
snowflakes. You have a beautiful handmade Christmas card
- who will you send it to?
