Minutes of meeting with Godrej delegation on 11th January 2023

TTL team wanted to view report submitted by ARAI for mast fatigue analysis, where ARAI has
deployed MBD technique to find out areas with higher stress concentration. Following is the gist
of the meeting.

 ARAI analysis report including methodology was shared with TTL team. TTL team queried
why ARAI team did not perform sway analysis.
 Godrej team responded saying Sway analysis was not in scope of the mandate for ARAI.
Since the ARAI study was carried out to analyse working life of the 4500 masts.
 Further Godrej re-checked that sway is observed primarily on masts having MFH 6000 or
more.

 TTL team mentioned that they have followed a similar approach for design analysis.

 Godrej team narrated the conditions such as a) End of lifting stroke or stopping of lifting
action at intermediate height above 6.0 mtr.
 b) Fwd / Rev movement of truck with load raised to MFH. These conditions
in dynamic scenario are not simulated in approach shared by TTL for sway
calculations.

 TTL team responded that they have understood approach taken by ARAI. Will discuss
internally before reverting to Godrej.
