Only qualified and system-trained service staff is allowed to perform the MAMMOMAT
Inspiration system installation, service, maintenance, and quality assurance. Ensure that
the most recent version of the service documentation is available.
To avoid any risk of injury to persons and/or damage to the system read and observe the
General Safety Notes (TD00-000.860.01.xx.02).
Please read and observe the “General remarks”, which include very important
safety-related information, as well as information about the handling of screws and nuts,
use of Loctite, and instructions for torque wrenches.

must be performed with radiation switched on are indicated by this radiation warning icon.
Voltage hazard 0
WARNING If the system is only switched off at the control panel, the line
voltage will still be present at the MammoUnit line connection
(see wiring diagram).
A life-threatening hazard of electric shock exists.
¹ Switch off the main power supply.
WARNING After system shuts down, there may still be 400 V DC present
in the PSU.
A life-threatening hazard of electric shock exists.
¹ After 2 minutes the system is discharged:
¹ - the green LED on the PSU has to be OFF.
¹ - the yellow LED on MFI has to be OFF.
¹ Measure the voltage at the power supply cable from the
PSU.
Safety measurement 0
NOTE For evaluation purposes, the first measured value and the
values documented during maintenance or safety checks are
to be compared to the measured values. A sudden or unex-
pected increase in the measured values may indicate a defect
in the protective conductor connections (protective conduc-
tor or contacts) - even if the limit value of 0.2 ohms is not
exceeded.
The measurement must be performed according to DIN VDE 0751, Part 1 (see ARTD Part
2). In this case the protective conductor resistance for all touchable conductive parts must
be measured during the normal operating state of the system.
Make sure that control cables or data cables between the components of the system are
not mistaken for a protective conductor connection.
The protective conductor resistance may not exceed 0.2 ohms.

Betriebsgründen nicht vom Netz genommen werden können oder fest in das
Hauptversorgungssystem eingebunden sind, unter beachtung von DIN VDE 0751-1/

When making repairs to the system that do not affect the patient leakage current (e.g.,
X-ray tube unit replacement, circuit board replacement, adjustments), it is not necessary to
measure the patient leakage current.
When repair work capable of affecting the patient leakage current is performed on the sys-
tem (e.g. repairs to the protective conductor connections, replacement of parts in the pri-
mary power supply circuit, replacement of application parts, technical changes to
application parts), the patient leakage current must be measured again and documented
for each application part.
Adjust/program the system to the local line voltage/line frequency before the measurement.

The measurement must be made according to DIN VDE 0751, Part 1 (see
ARTD-002.731.17...).
Fig. 2: Measuring circuit for measurement of the patient leakage current in a type B application
part with protective conductor in compliance with DIN VDE 0751-1/2001-10, Fig. C10.
Pos. 1 = System
Pos. 2 = Application part type B
Pos. 3 = Measurement setup (integrated into measuring device)
The determined values, including the application parts/measuring points, must be recorded
and evaluated in the patient leakage current protocol.
The values for each application part may not exceed the permissible leakage current val-
ues according to DIN VDE 0751-1/ 2001-10, table F.1, line "patient leakage current" of 0.01
mA for a direct current and 0.1 mA for an alternating current.
NOTE For evaluation purposes, the first measured value and the
values documented during maintenance or safety checks are
to be compared to the measured values. A sudden or unex-
pected increase in the measured values may indicate a defect
in the system (protective conductor connection damage,
insulation damage, damage from moisture, etc.) - even if the
limit value of 0.01 mA for a direct current and 0.1 mA for an
alternating current is not exceeded.
The measuring procedure and the measuring device used (designation and serial number)
are to be documented.
