How to configure McAfee Anti-virus program to allow JD Pro 2022 Rel
2.0 to function as a “safe program”
The issue at hand – applies to McAfee Antivirus Program only

• Few customers who are using JD Pro 2021 and JD Pro 2022 have complained that, when they try
to open JD Pro after installation, the McAfee anti-virus program automatically blocks the software
and also deletes the JD Pro executable file from the Program (x86) directory without notifying the
user, or, taking the users’ permission.
• This happens because McAfee anti-virus automatically scans the JD Pro installation directory at
real time and on finding the executable program, it assumes that it is a virus or an unwanted
program executable file and consequently deletes the same.
• This guide helps users overcome this problem and continue to use JD Pro software (v2020, v2021,
v2022 and v2022 Rel 2.0) in a safe manner.
• It should be noted that JD Pro software is built using the latest and most secure components from
the Microsoft application suite - .Net Framework. There is no malicious code within JD Pro
software and it will not harm any user’s computer. The real problem lies within McAfee anti-virus
program as the anti virus program blocks and deletes JD Pro without the user’s permission.
Step 1: Install JD Pro
software using the
installer downloaded
• Install the JD Pro software using the
installer which was provided to you.
• After installation, do NOT open the
program directly, because there is a
high chance that McAfee anti virus will
detect the newly installed software and
will block and delete the program
without taking the user’s permission.
• Instead of opening the JD Pro software,
open the McAfee anti virus interface. It
doesn't matter which version of
McAfee you are running – the following
process is essentially the same.
• You should see the screen displayed in
the screen shot image on this slide.
Step 2:Go to My
Protection Option
• Once you launch the main
screen of McAfee anti virus,
go to the “My Protection”
option as shown in the image
on this slide
Step 3:Select the
Real Time
Scanning option
• When you click My Protection
button, you will see a menu
system as in the image on
this slide.
• Click on the Real Time
Scanning option button –
click the arrow pointing to
the right side as shown in the
screen shot image on your
right
Step 4:Click on
the “Add File
Button”
• When you click on the Real
Time Scanning arrow button,
you will come to a page where
you can select any program file
on your computer and add it to
the list of “Excluded Files” in
McAfee anti virus program.
• McAfee anti virus will not scan
the directory and program file
selected and added to this list.
Hence JD Pro will not be
deleted the next time you
launch the software.
Step 5:Navigate to
the Folder where JD
Pro is installed
• When you click the Add File
button, you will be presented with
a “Open File” dialog screen where
you should navigate to the
installation directory of JD Pro.
• Normally if you have installed as
per the default options, the main
executable file is present in the
C:\Program
Files(x86)\www.jyotishyadeepika.c
om\Jyotishya Deepika Pro 2022 Rel
2.0.
• Select the file with extension
“.exe” as shown in the images on
this slide
• Click on the open button
Step 6:Ensure that
the JD Pro
executable is
selected
• When you click the open
button in the previous
screen, you should see that
McAfee displays the list of
“excluded” files which will
not be scanned every time or
deleted.
• Ensure that the JD Pro
executable file is selected and
exit McAfee.
• You can now restart JD Pro
2022 Rel 2.0 and it should
work normally without
hindrance from McAfee
