Quick Installation and deploy of Aumentum

Automation Solution.
The following quick document reflect the steps to Install Visual Studio 2022 version and use Aumentum
Automation project.

Step1: download the VS studio Professional form the following link

Step2: Install it, you can choose none or someone that you would require to work on your project s

Step 3: once finished the installation, you must download and install the net framework dependencies
one by one: https://dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us/download/dotnet-framework/thank-you/net35-sp1-
web-installer
https://dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us/download/dotnet-framework/thank-you/net46-developer-pack-
offline-installer

Step 4: once net frameworks installed, Open Visual Studio


Step 5: Select Continue without Code.

Step 6.1: Into menu, select the Tools> Options, into Source Control Option, select “Visual Studio Team
Fundation Server”, then Press OK button
Step 6.2: go to Team menu option and then to “Manage Connections..”.

Step 7: then Connect a Project

Step 8: from the Dialog, select AumentumTax Project , previously logged with your Aumentumtech
account and press Connect
Step 9: Once have connect3ed to AumentumTax Project, Go to “Source Control Explorer” option. From
Team Explorer Toolbox

Step 10: Into Source Controller Page. Navigate through “$/AumentumTax/Utilities/X-Test” folder

Step 11: Right click into “X-test” folder and select Advanced > Map to Local Folder, create a folder where
you map into local machine. Then press Map button and wait that Project was downloaded and sync
into your local repository.
Step 12: Once all files were updated, go to “$/AumentumTax/Utilities/x-test/TestFramework” and
launch the “X-Test.sln” file. It will open the Solution and Projects contained into

Step 13: On it will be launched, Press Right click hover Solution, first press “Clean Solution” Option and
then Press on “Build Solution” option, once you did it, the Solution should be built without errors.

It should be once you press “Clean Solution” option.

This should be the result of “Buil Solution” option.


Optional Step 14: Go to View and Click into “Test Explorer” option, it will be open the Test Explorer
dialog.

And then, you will see the Scripts that will be pointed to the current environment value
