Stream Running Low on Space - User Deletion of large

unnecessary videos
 Knowledge Article# KBA556

Problem

Our M365 Tenant has limited allocated space from Microsoft.

Solution

Purpose:

The purpose of this documentation is to guide users through removing all non-required
Streams videos to release space within the Streams environment. A user will review videos
that are over 30 minutes in length and considered non-essential. They will then select from
one of the options below for each video.

Option 1: Delete the video if it is no longer required.

Option 2: Download the video and upload it to SharePoint, or save it in your OneDrive.

To see a video of these procedures, you can click here.

Option 1 Procedure

1. Open Microsoft Edge browser (or your favorite web browser).

2. Navigate to https://web.microsoftstream.com/.
3. If prompted, login with your email address and password.
4. If you are on the Harris Stream, you will know because the logo will appear in the top
left corner as seen in the image below.
5. Click on "My Content" at the top and select "Videos" from the context menu.
6. Review your videos for any that are longer than 30 minutes and you deem are
unnecessary.
7. On the right side of the video, click the ellipse button and select "Delete" from the
context menu as indicated by the red boxes below.

Option 2 Procedure

6. Review your videos for any that are longer than 30 minutes and you want to relocate.
7. Click on the ellipse button and select Download.

8. Depending on your browser, you may be prompted for a location. Use the following
to determine:

1. Edge - You will get a box at the top with a Save As button that will allow you
to choose the location for the file. (Highly recommended!)
2. Chrome, Firefox, Brave, and others - If the default options are set on your
browser, it will automatically place the file in your "Downloads" folder on your
computer.

9. Once the file is downloaded, you have a choice as to what you want to do with the
file. You can move the file into a folder within your OneDrive and have it sync back up
for safe keeping and sharing among other Harris employees or you can upload the
file to a SharePoint site.
