What regulations are there regarding balustrading?

There are two main building regulations relating to balustrading on balconies.

Building regulation approved document K2: Protection from falling

This regulation sets a minimum height of 1100mm for all guarding. The guarding must be able to resist
a minimum force of 0.74kn/m at the top edge.
The balustrade must be able to resist a point load equivalent to 50kg through a 50mm square indent
