In this problem, the key relationship is the one that I have with Camille.

Get a quality candidate that aims to be paid a maximum salary of €15,000 per month.
Avoid a hostile environment at the firm.
Solutions At Table
Hire Camille for a maximum salary of €10,000 per month, while also promoting and raising the
salary of the HDO assistant.
Justifications
I can not offer a higher salary to Camille since he is not as experienced as the previous
HDO, even tough I agree he is qualified to deliver products with modern designs. Since the
CEO is aiming to spend €15,000 per month to find a solution and I am aware that the HDO
assistant also wants the job I can offer Camille a shared leadership job so the HDO
assistant gets promoted and does not feel like he was left behind and avoid a hostile
environment at work.
Offer the provisional job to the HDO assistant for €10,000 per month.
How?
Organization
I consider that this meeting can take around 1 hour so I can ask all the questions required to
identify if Camille is the ideal person for this job. I must consider that if Camille does want the job,
we have to move quickly to get everything done.
Communication
I would like to start by seeing some of the work he has done. As well I need to know how much he
knows about Fabiessi, also how much he knows about leadership positions. I must avoid saying
that we must hire someone by the end of the month.
Logistics
I will seek to meet Camille on his agency so we have a private space. I will have to come prepare
with the list of questions I will ask. I will also ask in advance por a portfolio to see some of Camille
designs. I will bring a little present to break the ice before the negotiation starts.
