PROFFISIONAL EXPERIENCE

I did a trainee for 2 years at Fibam, it’s an auto parts company, it produces screws and fixatives to
vehicles in general (cars, agricultural equipment, trucks, etc), I’ve worked at Continuous
Improvement that was interconnected with Quality Engineering (both work together), I did
instructions and procedures to all sectors of the company, these kind of documents assigned what
were the duties and the activities the sectors must, as the production sectors as the
administrative. It was very good because I learned how a company works in general.

They didn’t have an opportunity to me because the production was very low, so I looked for a new
trainee and I got it at ZF. It’s an auto parts company too, it produces all the parts of the
powertrain (transmission, clutches, steering system, etc), about vehicles in general, but the plant
that I’ve worked was about clutches. I did 2 years of trainee at Process Engineering, this sector
was subdivided in support to production, chemical process and technology, I worked at technology
division, but I gave support to the production too, it was so good because I learned a lot of things
in the ambient of production, I think is this way that we really see the improvements that are
necessary.
I did some productive projects mapping the production lines, doing analyses of productive capacity
and hand labor, distributing the demand and products among the lines, analyses about
investments of projects to the top management at Germany.

A great event was very challenging were some analyses that we needed to do about the new lines
were coming from Germany, but in the same time my boss was in the Germany verifying other
issues, he would be there for 3 weeks, and my supervisor was extremely busy, but helping as he
can. So my coworkers and I did the all analyses and concluded the results and the investments. It
was so hard, because I was just a trainee doing this important activity, but at the same time it
was very good because it did everything ok and I learned a lot of things.

1. Tell me a little bit about you

I’m graduated in Mechanical Engineering at FEI in a 6-year course. I intend to do my next
graduate in Project Management, it’s a course that opens quite the mind and can be applied in a
professional or personal life.

I like a lot to watch movies end series of comedies and criminal investigation, I like to know
different restaurants and their foods, new culinary. I like to play soccer with my friends and to go
to the gym.

My dream is to travel and to know the world, to know beautiful places, culinary, but unfortunately
I’ve never traveled abroad.

2. What are your short-term goals?

I want to get a position as Engineer in a great company (when I say great I don’t mean about
your size, but about your capacity and vision to develop), preferably in areas as manufacturing,
product development, quality, etc. So, I’m looking for some courses that I know will be important
and will make the difference.

3. What are your long-term goals?

I want to reach a position as Manager, Director or President, managing some department, but all
this must be by my own merits. I don’t accept everything to get it, I have some values that are
more important like honesty and confidence.

4. How do you deal with the pressures of work?

In the beginning I was so nervous when my supervisor asked me some requests, but I’ve learned
how to deal with these situations with a little coldness and getting more confidence myself. It
doesn’t work to be tense or stressed, it won’t solve anything, and more relaxed you are better will
be your reasoning. A tip that can help is sit alone for 10 minutes and think about what are the
mainly steps and alternatives.

5. Why should we hire you?

I identify myself with this kind of area and I intend to get functions related with this activities. In
the future and possibly being in a leader position. Some of my mainly motivations are to offer
solutions and the constant challenges that will give continuous knowledge.

6. How can you contribute to the development and growth of the company?
I’m a person that like to know how the things work, the details and the “whys”, it does a lot of
difference in the activities, for this reason you know from what point you will start until the end.
Besides is this way that you see the potential of improvements. So I believe that my profile can
reach what the company is requesting, contributing to it development.

7. What were your greatest professional achievements?

I had a great evolution when I received some productive projects with huge investments, I was
requested for my supervisor and manager to conduct them, I got a lot knowledge. In the end I
had a great development, these projects were concluded with good results. I think this a big
changing considering I was just a trainee and for this reason I did simple tasks with low
complexity, but my boss believed in my skills and gave me a chance to develop doing the same
tasks from other analyst and engineers of the sector.
I participated of a workshop with top managements form Germany, we did some proposals
justifying the investments to the new production lines.
For last but not least important, I participated in a big transfer of products and equipments
between plants to reach the strategies of the company.

8. What are your strengths?

Disciplined (because when I need to do something by myself and it takes time, dedication or
patience, I like to challenge myself and I like to reach each little goal every day, and the last but
not least, I believe this word is key word to a lot of another words like dedication, organization,
etc), teamwork (I like to help and to be helped), hardworking (because I’m compromised and
not just involved). + (motivated, patient, self-control, I like to help).

9. What are your weaknesses?

My main weaknesses are: I demand myself a lot (sometimes I’m not satisfied with some
activity, then I’m thinking in what I could do better), I’m a little systematic (I like to do the
activities in sequence, I like to plan all the steps, but some unforeseen can happens and we need
to replan/redesign the steps to reach the main goal) and perfectionist (I like to do everything
well, but It can spend some time that we couldn’t have).

10. What is your biggest dream?

I want to reach the top management supporting some projects, helping to define the strategies of
the company, contacting plants from other places/countries and looking for solutions/ideas.

13. What do you consider important in a company?

Some things that I consider important, the company needs to be teamwork too, because this way
the results and the goals will be reach faster and with better quality. The company needs to
valorize their employees and do some investments in your professional development, because it
will contribute to the growth of the company. An structure organized and planned. A comfortable
ambient.

17. Why did you choose this kind of career?

I identify myself with this area and I like of what I do. Since I was a kid I saw my father, that is
draftsman, designing and developing a lot of devices, I remember that he always was trying to
understand how the things worked and I really appreciated this, so I got this such fascination. This
is the main reason I chose the Mechanical Engineering.

11. Por qual motivo você saiu da empresa anterior?

Infelizmente meu contrato de estágio acabou e a vaga que tinha no setor estava congelada pela
situação do mercado.

enxergar melhor e perceber nossos erros.

Sou
flexível e me adapto em diferentes ambientes. Sou comprometido e responsável.

19. What is to be a leader to you?

A leader has a macro view about the current and future situation of the market and company;
knows to identify the abilities of the staff directing each one to the best performance at the team;
a leader provides a friendly environment among the staff; listens to different opinions; knows how
to administrate time, communication, negotiation, information; the leader is the key person to
give all the necessary bases to the team, always following with the group, not putting yourself in
front or above them.

20. How do you see yourself as a just graduated?

I see myself with a huge “hungry” of challenges; with a huge potential to develop at this
company; obviously I have much more to learn than to teach, but I’ll always try to reach my best
in each task; I believe I can reach great results to the company, mainly studying my MBA in
Project Management which will provide me an excellent base to lead projects. Certainly you won’t
have any regrets about hiring me.

21. Tell me a good and bad thing that happened with you and what you learned with
that.
A good thing that happened with me was the project I led when I was a trainee at ZF, in that
moment my bosses (supervisor and responsible engineer) were out, busy with other tasks, so the
manager redirected this project to my coworker and me, both were responsible for each area in
the production line, me about assembly and my coworker about machining. The project consisted
in restructure 5 of 11 production lines, considering the new resources that would come from the
matrix. My coworker and I got some information from the production line and from other
departments; we elaborated the necessary analysis as viability, investments and capacity. Then,
we forwarded the project to the matrix, which adored it. Fortunately, we got the scenario with
higher investment and most modern technologies. It was very important to me because I could to
learn and to improve some abilities about how to lead well a project, tools as communication,
negotiation, planning, etc.
A bad thing to me was that I began my university 2 years after the high school; the first year I
was moving from Sorocaba to São Paulo and the second year I studied in a pre-entrance exam
course, in fact I was able to pass but I wasn’t confident enough to do the exam. Seeing the
current situation of Brazil, I could be employed if I did the college before. So, time is the only
thing you never can recover.

22. What kind of professional do you want to be?

I want to be a successful professional with a huge knowledge about the market and the processes
of the company; I want to participate of the main projects and strategies of the company; I want
to be a specialist or a leader in a technical area, leading a staff with different abilities; I want to
bring great results as a retribution of all time and development that the company did on me. I
want to be a professional recognized for my achievements.

23. If you would have to fire someone of the group, who would be and why?

24. Why did you choose this position? Why do you identify yourself with it?
I chose this position because I love to learn new things every day; I love dynamic environment; to
communicate with different people and different hierarchy levels; I love to weak up in the morning
and don’t know how will be my day; to face different challenges every day. All this things I have in
my mind since my first trainee, I decided I want to work in a position like that. And as I said, I
have “hungry” of new challenges and I know this position will provide it to me, certainly I would
develop myself a lot.
