Because I have heard of you reputation in the industry, and I would be proud to
work for a company with such an excellent track record and a strong example of
leadership in the industry and I am genuinely interested in getting more involved in
a company that is in other country.
5. What are your greatest weaknesses and how do you plan to improve them?
My goal right now in finish the school and then find a position at a company where
I can grow and take on new challenges over time. I would like to assume more
management responsibilities, I want to work for an company where I can build a
career and then I would like to want my own company.
7. What life accomplishment are you most proud of? What does it reveal about you
as a person?
Although I have just completed my BIM certification, my long term goal is to take
my management experience to its highest level by eventually earning my
Management degree. My plan is to work full time in a long term in management
which will give me the experience I will need to open my own company.
The truth is that sometimes I feel a little nervous when I speak English with a
people who speaks were well or very fluid English, but I feel nervous just in the
beginning but then I feel a little more confident.
10. I’ve noticed that you don’t have a lot of work experience in this field. How can I
be sure that you will perform successfully on the job?
First because I am very excited to work in this company because I have heard of
you reputation in the industry, second I will good in this good because I have the
prerequisite skills and a proven track record of succeeding in this field.
11. We have many applicants for this job. Tell me why we should hire YOU.
As you can seen by my cover letter, the majority of my employment history has
been as a construction manager, a role which has given me a good understanding
of how regulated businesses. I noticed in your posting that you were specifically
looking for someone to help manage and coordinate constructions. In the other
hand I believe that I have more experience that some students. I am confident that
my past experience will translate well into the position you are offering.
13. What are the most important things you have learned from school?
The most important thing I learned was to accept and respond to feedback. The
critique I received from peers and professor greatly enhanced my growth. It is
challenging to present my work to other and hear their opinions about it. These
experiences also taught me to critique other using language that focuses on quality
and shared goals, avoiding comments that could be interpreted as personal or
overly critical.
15. Tell me about a difficult experience you have had and what you learned from it.
In my first job I was given the task of carrying out the analysis of unitary prices but
I did not realized that the price of steel had risen and I left the previous one, but I
was able to fix it because it was not yet delivered to the client, I learned that I
always must check if the prices are updated.
To tell you the truth, I think I work the same if there's pressure or if there's no
pressure. I try and take out negative emotional factors and work hard regardless of
down time or busy time. I always prioritize and organize my work, and from there,
work efficiently.
18. What about your experience makes you qualified for this position?
As you can see from my resume that I have experience in this field, but what might not
be clear from my resume is the influence I had on the previous company I worked
with. I was responsible for construction precesses, project specificactions and
engineering plans and documents this increasing my experience in this area and I
intend to bring that same expertise to your company.
When I was in my first year at university, I couldn´t decide between a career in civil
engineering or architecture. To help me decided I contacted and a architect and a
family civil engineer and they both talked to me about their careers and offered me a
weeks work shadowing each. They helped me to confirm that this profession was the
right one for me.
20. As an entry level employee, much of the work you will do tends to be very
routine. How do you feel about that?
I think it is a part of the learning line and we all started in a job like this, that is why
this allows you to learn from the bottom and go up, which also gives you a broader
view of all levels of a job.
