SAQ #1. Do you think the study of salvation is important to you? Why? (10
pts)

ASAQ: Many Christians believe that people who die with unforgiving sins will be denied entry to
paradise. Salvation implies being saved from sin, and Christians believe that salvation is
necessary for having a connection with God on earth as well as everlasting life with God in
heaven after death. God's goal in salvation is for us to grow more like Christ so that we might
glorify Him forever. Because He is the only path to the Father, Jesus Christ merits our praise,
respect, honor, and glory. Adam and Eve revolted against God, causing the entire human race
to be at odds with Him.

SAQ # 2. How can a man be saved? (10%)

ASAQ: When we have confidence in the Lord, we shall be rescued. Having faith is the same as
having trust. You must believe with your entire being that God has your back and will aid and
protect you. He knows what is best for you, but you must totally trust him in order to fully
accept what he has prepared for you. Our faith is not folly, for our God is both loyal and good.
"For the price of sin is death, but the free gift of God is everlasting life through Christ Jesus our
Lord," Paul says in Romans 6:23. Thus, when Paul and other New Testament writers state that a
person is saved "through faith," they do not imply trust in anything a person wants to believe
in. They actually signify trust in Jesus, confidence that He died for us and is the One whom God
sent to be our Saviour.

SAQ # 3. (30 pts)

Read Timothy 2:5-6 and answer the following questions in your own words.

(a) What does Paul say Jesus is?

 5 For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, 6
who gave himself as a ransom for all people. This has now been witnessed at the proper time.

(b) Can any other person do what Jesus does?

 For me, no one else can do what Jesus did for us to be forgiven of our sins. He is holy and no
one else can surpass him, so no one else can do what Jesus did to save us.

(c) How did Jesus bridge the gap between God and man?
 I Timothy 2:5 says, “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man
Christ Jesus.” Jesus bridges the gap between finite man and infinite God, between sinful man
and a holy God, between weak people and an omnipotent God. Jesus bridges the gap. He does
what you cannot do. That is not just true for salvation; that is true for this day, for practical life,
and for the believer. Jesus bridges the gap between all that you are and all that you should be.
Jesus bridges the gap between all that you lack and all that God has. Jesus bridges the gap
between all that you are and all that God is.
