There are 3 main elements for achieving process stability:

 5S
 Visualization
 Standard Work

5S
 5S is the name of a workplace organization method that uses a list of five Japanese words:
seiri, seiton, seiso, seiketsu and shitsuke.
 Transliterated into Roman script, they all start with the letter "S".
 In some cases, 5S has become 6S, the sixth element being safety

Visualization


Visualization

Visualization or visualisation is any technique for creating images, diagrams, or


animations to communicate a message.

In other words, visualization is:


 Representation of an object, situation or set of information as a chart or other
image
 Formation of a mental image of something

has three main components:
 It is balanced to the takt time.
 It specifies standard work-in-process (WIP).
 It defines the sequence of operations for a
single operator.
