Audio - sound within the range of human hearing


- employed in the transmission, reception, or reproduction of sounds
Examples:

The Four Fundamental Attributes of Sound

1. Amplitude – how sound particles are displaced or scattered that produce a certain level of
intensity of loudness
2. Frequency – measured by counting the number of vibrations of sound particles in the path of a
wave in a span of a second
3. Wave Form – actual shape of the sound waves which is commonly associated to the timbre of
quality of sounds
4. Speed of Propagation – how quickly the sound travels

Audio Information

1. Music – vocal or instrumental sounds (or bith) combined in such a way as to produce beauty of
form, harmony, and expression
2. Radion Newscasts – news clips or articles delivered by radio journalists
3. Public Service Announcements – a message in the public interest disseminated by the media
without charge to raise public awareness
4. Radio commercials - paid advertisements that intent to promote a service or product
5. Radio dramas – similar to a television soap opera, these are purely acoustics programs
broadcasted on radio
6. Podcasts – digital audio programs that can be streamed or downloaded through the internet

Motion Information and Media

movies, documentaries.
2. Television program – segment content created for television broadcast, which includes news

of its lyrics.
4. Video clip – part of a longer recording; usually published online.
5. Video commercial/ infomercial – short clip of video aired at different intervals that aim to
promote or inform the public about a product or issue.
