iCAM7000 Quick Setup Reference Guide

1. Change iCAM IP address to desired IP


a. Change your computers IP address to 192.168.5.1 so that you can connect to the default
IP address of 192.168.5.100 of the iCAM unit from the iCAM Web Configuration screen.
b. Change the IP address as needed to the desired IP address setting.

2. Configure the operational mode of the iCAM unit to the desired option (1, 2 or 3).
a. Using the Web configuration screen, change the operational mode of the iCAM as
needed.
b. If selecting operational mode: option 3, enter the server IP address and 16 digit security
key for the camera channel.

*Note: If using an iCAM for enrollment or with an ICU, the operational mode must be placed in option 1.

3. Set the desired recognition mode type and additional settings for the iCAM.
a. From the iCAM Web Configuration, select iCAM settings to select the desired
recognition mode (iris only, Iris + Pin local, Iris + Prox card, or Iris + Smart card).
b. Modify Wiegand settings, smart card settings, as well as any additional settings needed.

4. Install the iData EAC software (as needed) if not already installed.

5. Upgrade the iCAM7000 camera internal software (firmware)


a. Using the iCAM7000Update software (available on iData EAC 3.07.08 (or above)
software, or from the IrisID Website), update your iCAM software.

6. Open EAC applications starting with the IrisServer.exe, IrisMonitor.exe and IrisManager.exe

7. Configure your EAC software to communicate with your iCAM hardware by using the Iris
Manager application.
a. Add remote unit(s) in Iris Manager - From Iris Manager press > Creation > Remote Unit >
Add. (Repeat this step as needed for any additional iCAM units that are to be used on
the system).
