4 General description

The electroplating rectifier POWER STATION is a sophisticated switch

mode type rectifier for electroplating applications. The whole electronic
fits in a wall mounting casing.

The adjustment of the output parameters is done by signals at connector

X5 or by a separate control unit.

The electronic regulation guarantees the correctness of the output

parameters during the operation, even with variable loads.

The device is temperature protected. In case of rising interior

temperature, first the fan speed increases. Is the temperature still
increasing, the device decreases the output current automatically and,
after an cooling phase, increases it.

Do not use the device at higher environmental temperature (max.

35°C) !

5 Electrical connections

The unit should be installed at the working place with the holes preferred
for wall mounting.
At choosing the installation place, please observe that the unit is not in
contact with corrosive fume.

If the unit is exposed to corrosive fume and high atmospheric

humidity (>70%), provide the unit with fresh air.

5.1 Main supply

Connect only by DIN VDE 298 T4 2/89 admitted supply cables, which
have, admitting to DIN 57100 part 523 / VDE 0100 Part 523.6.81, enough
diameter, to the power supply connector L1, N, PE.
Pay attention to the correct connection of PE and N.
Provide for an allowable fuse admitted to DIN 57100 Part 430 / VDE 0100
Part 430.6.81.

Check for the correct environmental temperature (max. 35°C).

5.2 High-current connection

Connect the plating tank to the high-current connectors of the rectifier by

connecting the DC-current output + and - to the plating tank.
Check for right polarity and contact.

Look for the DIN 57100 Part 523 / VDE 0100 Part 523.6.81 admitted
cable diameter and the correct polarity.
