Strategic Leadership
Strategic leadership is the ability to anticipate, envision,
maintain flexibility, and empower others to create
strategic change as necessary.
Strategic leadership involves managing through others,
managing an entire enterprise rather than a functional
subunit, and coping with change that continues to
increase in the global economy. Because of the global
economy’s complexity, strategic leaders must learn how
to effectively influence human behaviour, often in
uncertain environments.
Five important components of
strategic leadership include:

anticipating and creating a future
Revolutionary thinking
Creation of a vision.
Levels of Strategic
Leadership
Vision- it is an aspirations for the future
Mission- it is about core values, purposes and reason for existence
Strategy- responds to the question, "How do we achieve the vision?"
Achon- are intentions whereas achon makes things happen.
Entrepreneurial Leadership
“Entrepreneurial leadership is a mindset that focuses
organizations on turning problems into opportunities that
create economic and social value,” says Babson College
President Stephen Spinelli Jr. MBA’92, PhD.
Entrepreneurial leadership is leading people, inspiring them,
and helping them to perform to the best of their abilities.

This refers to the management and organization of people to achieve


a common goal by taking the risk, taking advantage of opportunities
in the environment and managing change during chao
Role of Entrepreneurs as a
leader;
So the challenge is not only in developing the business but also to cope with the
managerial change facing the founder. Having your own vision is relatively easy.
Building a shared vision is no easy task. The challenge for an Entrepreneur is to
convert the contractual employee of an economic entity into committed
member of a purposeful organization. (Burns,2007)

The primary role of good entrepreneurial leader is to build an entrepreneurial


architecture. The entrepreneurial architecture creates within the orgnization the
knowledge and routines that allow it to respond flexibily to change and
opportunity in the way the entrepreneur does. It is a very real and valuable asset
that creates competitive advantage and can be sustained.
Three Principles of
Entrepreneurial Leadership
1.Treat others as you would want to be
treated.
2.Share the wealth that is created with all
those who have contributed to it all levels.
3.Give back to the community
Role of Entrepreneur as
a leader:
A successful entrepreneur an patient leader, capable of instilling tangible
vision and managing for the long haul.
