question.
No matter how much you’ve trained, performance anxiety before or during a competition may occur,
hindering the results of your match.
While you can tell yourself to stay calm prior to a competition, managing performance anxiety may
not be as simple as. Research has shown that strategies such as meditation and guided imagery are great
places to start; both require your brain to rehearse what you will do during your competition. Your
imagination holds much more power than you may expect, helping you focus on how to beat your
opponent, instead of other factors that contribute to your anxiety. Adequate preparation also plays a large
role.
To master the mental game, it takes time. Starting one month before your competition, consider
sitting in solitude in a comfortable position for 15 minutes each day. Focus first on breathing in and out
deeply. Then, begin to imagine competition situations and visualize yourself in a fight with your
competitor. Be mindful of your anxiety and return your focus to breathing if you feel yourself tense up.
Sometimes, you may find yourself thinking self-depreciating or negative thoughts, at which point you
should consciously replace any negative self-talk with positive self-talk. During these visualizations, also
be sure to think about your posture and form and create cues — mental and verbal — that will help you
review and correct your technique.
Pre-competition jitters are completely normal and it’s important to acknowledge that. Accepting that
this excitement and/or nervousness is normal will help your body also understand that what you are
experiencing is not fear, but perhaps part of your adrenaline response to competition. With more
experience, mindful visualization and mental/physical preparation can help you manage and overcome
performance anxiety.

Read the following passage and mark the letter A, B, C, or D to indicate the answer to each of the
question.
In competitive Irish dancing, dancers will perform different steps in a line of a dozen or more
dancers. A judge will watch several dancers at once, but if the judge perceives a single imperfection in
the dancer’s appearance or in her performance, he will move on to watch a better dancer. If a dancer
cannot catch and hold the attention of the judge, she has no chance of winning a medal or even a place.
The pressure this inspires can affect a dancer negatively because she is consequently more worried
about what people think of her instead of just doing her best. By emphasizing costume and appearance
generally, competitive Irish dance has become part of the cut-throat show business industry. Irish dance
instructors often give this advice: “Whatever happens, don’t cry; it will ruin your make-up” Pressure to
perform is a key element in any sport, and is often a positive factor in an athlete’s overall experience. In
modern-day competitive Irish dance, however, the pressure of appearance can have a negative impact on
a dancer’s career.
Nonetheless, when asked what Irish dancing means to them, most dancers will answer “close friends
and hard work”. Though almost half of a dancer’s score is determined by her appearance, the aspects of
the sport that don’t receive points, such as sportsmanship, friendships, tradition, community and artistry,
still remain of the greatest importance. These are the central ideas that are represented in Irish dance. In
fact, the designs on a solo dress have their origins in these ideas: those Celtic designs were created to
represent certain symbols, such as unity and friendship.
Because of the very visual nature of dance, external beauty, form, and expression obviously have a
large place in the sport. And, although the sheer complexity of costume preparation may seem
intimidating, in the drama of competitive Irish dance, it is legitimate. Visually, the true attraction of
dance competition is the athleticism and skill of the dancers, both as individuals and as teams. In the end,
the emphasis on appearance will only negatively affect the sport if it becomes more important than the
other aspects of competitive Irish dance.

‘Lifelong learning’ is the pursuit of knowledge throughout life. In other words, learning is not
confined to the classroom environment and school subjects. Instead, people can learn throughout their
adulthood, even in old age and in a variety of situations, particularly in their daily interactions with others
and with the world around them. Lifelong learning must be voluntary and self-motivated. Therefore,
lifelong learners should have a strong desire to learn and explore the world.
Lifelong learning is facilitated by e-learning platforms. Education is now no longer offered only
by ‘bricks and mortar’ institutions. Online courses have instead enabled lifelong learning by providing
learners, teachers, and course providers with much more flexibility in terms of learning time, place, pace,
and style. Learners, for instance, can now have the course content taught to them by a school located
miles away from where they live or work. In addition, young parents can select their group meeting time
late in the evening when their children have gone to bed.
Most importantly, lifelong learning should be regarded as an attitude to learning for self-
improvement rather than a pathway to qualifications. This means the ultimate aim is to better yourself for
personal and/or professional development rather than for some certificate to decorate your CV. This type
of lifelong learning may not necessarily take place as part of a course. It may be done very informally in
any area of interest and at your convenience, as long as it is well within your capabilities and/or improves
your skills. For example, researching the tidal cycles of the sea where you often go fishing and the types
of fish available there is a form of lifelong learning.

with much more flexibility.

qualifications.

Why do we sleep? One thing we do know is that it's good for our physical and mental health.
Physically, sleep helps prevent sickness and keeps our body healthy. Mentally, we study and work better
when we sleep for about eight hours the previous night.
In this century, lack of sleep is becoming a big problem. The average American sleeps less than seven
hours a night—that's two hours less than a century ago. Our modern 24-hour-day lifestyle means that
more and more of us are working at different times of the day—and night. We often stay up late into the
night, and some of us even work all night and sleep during the day. This is a problem because our body's
natural clock is connected with the movement of the sun. If we don't sleep at night for long periods, it
can be bad for our health.
But perhaps the biggest problem comes from electric lights and screens. Modern cities use bright
LED lights through the night, which changes the way we sleep. In addition, the screens of our
computers, tablets, and smartphones all send out blue light. The bluer and brighter the light, the more
difficult it is to get tired and go to sleep. As a result, some medical experts suggest that we shouldn't
watch more than two hours of television per day, and they also advise that we should stop looking at
screens (including phones) one hour before we go to bed. But how many of us will take this advice?
(Adapted from National Geographic learning)
Question 44. Which of the following is the best title for the passage?

Diabetes is one of the most (34) _______ childhood chronic illnesses in the USA. Every year,
approximately 13,000 new cases are diagnosed in children under the age of 18, according to the CDC.
(35) _______ the condition being fairly commonplace, many educators are not entirely sure how to assist
students with diabetes. This may result in unnecessary stress for both the teacher and the student.
Thankfully, you do not have to have a medical degree in order to accommodate students with diabetes. In
fact, by following (36) _______ basic guidelines, an educator will be able to be of great assistance to a
student living with a diabetes diagnosis.
In order to best assist students with diabetes, it is of vital importance that an educator carries as
much knowledge as possible about the condition. Apart from knowing what diabetes is and how it
develops, it is also essential to understand what impact it can have on the student’s everyday life. Some
students may also be living with diabetic neuropathy, (37) _______ can cause considerable pain.
Neuropathy can manifest itself in many ways, including (38) _______ and pain in the legs and feet, and
damage to the digestive system, heart, blood vessels, and urinary tract.
Read the following passage and mark the letter A, B, C, or D to indicate the answer to each of the
question.
Robots are useful for exploring and working in space. In particular, many robots have been sent to
explore Mars. Such robots have usually looked like a box with wheels. Though these robots are useful, by
their very nature they are unreliable, extremely expensive, and they break easily. Also, they cannot do
very many tasks. Because of these problems, scientists have been developing a new and unusual kind of
robot. These new robots move like snakes, so they have been given the name “snakebots.”
But how can such a robot shape be made? A snakebot is built like a chain made of about thirty parts,
or modules. Each module is basically the same in that they all have a small computer and a wheel to aid
movement. The large computer in the “head” of the snake makes all of the modules in a snakebot work
together. The modular design of the snakebot has many advantages. If one module fails, another can be
added easily. Snakebot modules can also carry different kinds of tools, as well as cameras. Since each
module is actually a robot in itself, one module can work apart from the rest if necessary. That is, all the
modules can separate and move on their own, and then later, reconnect back into a larger robot.
Overall, the snakebot design is much simpler than that of common robots. Thus, snakebots will be
much less expensive to build. For example, a robot recently sent to Mars cost over a hundred million
dollars, whereas snakebots can cost as little as a few hundred dollars. With their versatility and
affordability, snakebots seem to be the wave of the future, at least as far as space robots are concerned.

question.
To be successful, a business traveler must be able to maintain contact with the office, no matter what
the time or place. Negotiations often involve decisions based on the latest figures; therefore, modern
employers tend to look for those who are able to master state-of-the art equipment. New
telecommunications products and services now on the market make staying in touch easier than ever
before.
The most widespread device is the cellular telephone, the price of which had dropped from several
thousand dollars to a few hundred, including installation. Users of any budgets can afford one with all
necessary functions to meet their need to communicate, to entertain or to study and work. There are over
2 million mobile cellular phones in use today, including both car phones and cordless transportable units.
Car phones have proven indispensable for road emergencies as well as routine business transactions.
Phone service is also available on airplanes and on the rails.
Recently introduced pocket- size organizers help business travelers with heavy schedules keep track of
clients. These are tiny computers that can store all kinds of information that can satisfy any users in spite
of any jobs they have. They can serve as phone and address directories, calendars, electronic memo pads,
and calculators, among other uses. As a result, this device has become an indispensable assistant for many
people.
Another invaluable telecommunications tool is smaller, lighter fax machines that plug into any
standard electrical outlet and phone line. The devices allow instantaneous transmission of hard copy to
any location having a compatible fax machine. It is expected that faxing will soon become the primary
means of sending and receiving short documents requiring prompt attention. Fax machines have come in
a wide range of models and greater offer of applications.

Do đó, việc

Read the following passage and mark the letter A, B, C, or D to indicate the answer to each of the
question.
In many modern countries, people think of a family as a mother, a father and their children. But this
is not the only kind of the family group. In some parts of the world, a family group has many other
members. This kind of large family is called an "extended family" or a "joint family".
The joint family includes all living relatives on either the mother's or the father's side of the family. It
is made up of grandparents, parents, brothers, sisters, uncles, aunts, and cousins. They live together in a
large house or in huts built close together. Early people probably lived in joint families. They had to be
part of a large group in order to survive. The members of the group helped each other hunt. They worked
together to protect themselves from dangerous animals and other enemies.
In China, people lived in joint families. When a son married, he and his wife lived at his parents'
home. Unmarried daughters remained at home until they married. Chinese children felt very loyal to their
parents. Younger members of the joint families always took care of the old ones.
In India and Africa, some people still live in joint families. The members of a joint family share their
earnings and property. If one member of the group becomes ill or has bad luck, the others help the person.
As in the past, the members of the joint family offer each other help and protection.

Read the following passage and mark the letter A, B, C, or D to indicate the answer to each of the
question.
Though gambling is typically associated with casino games, strategic sports betting is rapidly
gaining in popularity – and that's a whole other ball game, Prof. Dannon explains. "Sports gamblers seem
to believe themselves the cleverest of all gamblers. They think that with experience and knowledge – such
as player's statistics, manager's habits, weather conditions, and stadium capacity – they can predict the
outcome of a game better than the average person."
But in a study published in the journal Psychopathology, Prof. Dannon and Dr. Ronen Huberfeld of
the Beer Yaakov Mental Health Center determined that neither betting experience nor knowledge of the
arcane details of the game is connected to successful betting outcomes. Indeed, he says, the two most
successful gamblers in their study had no prior experience in gambling or knowledge of the sport in
question. This should inform how psychologists approach sports gamblers, who need to be treated using
different methods than their casino-addicted counterparts.
For their study, the researchers focused on the field of soccer betting, one of the most popular and
growing forms of sports gambling. They recruited three groups of participants, including 53 professional
sports gamblers, 34 soccer fans who were knowledgeable about the sport but had never gambled, and
finally, 78 non-gamblers with no prior knowledge of soccer at all. All participants were asked to place
bets on the final scores of the 16 second-round matches of the Champion's League, organized by the
Union of European Football Associations. This model mimics how gamblers actually put their money on
the games, where they need to bet on exact scores to win.
Although those who had prior knowledge of soccer were expected to have a higher success rate, the
researchers discovered that, in fact, their success rate was no better than those of the other two groups.
Interestingly, the two participants with the most successful record, correctly betting on seven out of the 16
games each, hailed from the group with no prior understanding of the sport.
This doesn't indicate that there is an advantage to inexperience, says Prof. Dannon – many others in
the third group were unable to predict any of the results correctly. But the outcome exposes the myth of
knowledge as a powerful betting advantage. The sense of control that encourages sports gamblers in their
betting is just an illusion.

Altruism is a type of behavior in which an animal sacrifices its own interest for that of another
animal or group of animals. Altruism is the opposite of selfishness; individuals performing altruistic acts
gain nothing for themselves.
Examples of altruism abound, both among humans and among other mammals. Unselfish acts
among humans range from the sharing of food with strangers to the donation of body organs to family
members, and even to strangers. Such acts are altruistic in that they benefit another, yet provide little
reward to the one performing the act.
In fact, many species of animals appear willing to sacrifice food, or even their life, to assist other
members of their group. The meerkat, which is a mammal that dwells in burrows in grassland areas of
Africa, is often cited as an example. In groups of meerkats, an individual acts as a sentinel, standing
guard and looking out for predators while the others hunt for food or eat food they have obtained. If the
sentinel meerkat gains nothing – it goes without food while the others eat, and it places itself in grave
danger. After it issues an alarm, it has to flee alone, which might make it more at risk to a predator, since
animals in groups are often able to work together to fend off a predator. So, the altruistic sentinel
behavior helps ensure the survival of other members of the meerkat’s groups.
Read the following passage and mark the letter A, B, C, or D to indicate the answer to each of the
question.
Saving the planet is very much in vogue. It’s also in Harper’s Bazaar, Elle and Mademoiselle.
It’s the message on fashion runways, in marketing strategies, in jewelry and accessory designs, on
shopping bags and totes, in advertisements and on price tags.
A naked fashion model wearing a hat of birch branches and lichen, as shown in Vogue this
month, may not be everyone’s idea of environmental awareness. But the pervasiveness of ecological
themes in the images and marketing of fashion is undeniable. It is also somewhat paradoxical. The
fashion industry, whose driving philosophy involves encouraging consumers to discard the old and
embrace the new, is now trying to push itself to the forefront of efforts to conserve and preserve.
The environmental theme in fashion began as wispy touches and graphic exhortations in
designer collections, not as some well-thought-out strategy of “green” marketing in which the
environmental advantages of a product become part of the sales approach. Tendrils of ivy dangled from
the ceiling at a Paris fashion show; a carpet of grass covered a runway in New York; models marched
along in T-shirts or carrying signs all bearing slogans like “Clean Up or Die,” “Save the Sphere,” and
“Environmental Protection Agents”.
The environmental spin on fashion has now moved into the mass market, where ‘’clothes with
conscience’‘ make an extra tug at the buyer’s self-image. Bonjour, a jeans and sportswear company
based in New York, has embarked on a program to ’‘change the individual’s outlook toward saving the
environment’’ through educational tags. This summer, the first wave of what Bonjour executives said
would be 50 million fashion items a year are to arrive in stores carrying tags with environmental tips
from how to save water to how to reduce pollutants.
Whether these tributes to nature will benefit the environment or even raise environmental
awareness, with concomitant changes in individual behavior, is not clear. There is some skepticism.
Professor Ewen says the new environmental symbolism should be viewed as part of an overall change in
America’s economy, from one built on industrial production of hard goods to one based on “pure
representation”. “Going back to fashion, the environment has become a commercial cliche separated from
real concerns. What can be attached to this year’s fashion is merely the symbolism of environmental
sanity.”

Altruism /ˈæl.tru.ɪ.zəm/ is a type of behavior in which an animal sacrifices its own interest for that of
another animal or group of animals. Altruism is the opposite of selfishness; individuals performing
altruistic acts gain nothing for themselves.
Examples of altruism abound, both among humans and among other mammals. Unselfish acts among
humans range from the sharing of food with strangers to the donation of body organs to family members,
and even to strangers. Such acts are altruistic in that they benefit another, yet provide little reward to the
one performing the act.

Where smart cities were once regarded purely as a vision of the future, they are now becoming a
reality in numerous urban centres across the globe. From Dubai, Singapore, Amsterdam, Copenhagen,
and Madrid to Southampton in the UK, we’re already beginning to see smart cities provide inhabitants
with improved living conditions, easier mobility and cleaner, safer environments, by using cloud
computing to power services. But as with all public sector initiatives, smart city services need to be
delivered as cost effectively as possible to minimise the taxpayer burden. Often, key decision makers are
met with obstacles when it comes to deploying smart services, preventing smart cities initiatives from
reaching their full potential – or worse, blocking them altogether.
Central to the functioning of most ‘normal’ city ecosystems is the underlying data they run on.
Regardless as to whether that data is stored on local servers or using cloud storage, when that data is
fragmented or incomplete, identifying emerging trends for strategic planning and cost reduction becomes
extremely difficult – and because of this, authorities have to adopt an entirely reactive approach.
Conversely, in a smart city environment, connected sensors forming an Internet of Things (IoT) provide
valuable data for analysis and, in turn, insight into the specific city’s behavioural trends. With this level of
information, services can be optimised to reduce costs and risk, increase urban flows and manage assets.
Importantly, they can also provide real-time connections and interactions between the city’s businesses,
local governments, service providers and citizens.
In this way, operations and services are elevated through the integration and connection of physical
devices via IoT networks, ultimately transforming how a city runs.

Once restricted to space stations and satellites, photovoltaics are now gaining popularity and becoming
an increasingly viable option. Every day, the sun releases an enormous amount of energy, far more than
the entire population consumes. Being that the sun is a sustainable, renewable, and inexhaustible source
for generating electricity, not using it seems almost counter-intuitive, especially considering the social
and environmental impacts of other forms of energy generation. But the technology to create electricity
from the sun is by no means simple and still has some limitations, the most significant being price.
The process of turning the sun’s rays into electrical energy all starts in the so-called photovoltaic cell.
These cells are produced with two chemically altered silicon layers of which one is missing elections and
the other is electron-overloaded. When the photons from the sunlight reach the surface, these electrons
gain the ability to move, generating a flow that creates an electric current. Each cell generates a small
amount of energy and a panel is usually made of between 36 and 72 photovoltaic cells. By connecting
several panels together, a photovoltaic system is created. Eight to ten panels is enough to power a small
house. Evidently, however, this statistic is influenced by some factors, such as the efficiency of the
panels, the amount of sunshine in the region, and the energy demand of the residence itself.
Importantly, photovoltaic solar panels produce electricity in the form of direct current, meaning the
electricity must pass through an inverter to transform it into alternating current - which is what is
normally used in buildings, appliances, sockets, and light bulbs.
Photovoltaic systems can facilitate energy generation in remote locations where infrastructural
networks do not reach. In these cases, the system uses batteries to store electricity when less energy is
used than is consumed, such as at night or on very cloudy days. However, it is also possible to use
photovoltaics in systems connected to the power grid. In these cases, the excess energy goes to the
electricity grid, creating energy “credits” for the building in question. In some countries, it is even
possible to sell surplus energy, making the building a power plant for neighbors and method of paying
off the investment more quickly.

Universities love overseas students – they are clever and hardworking, they bring different cultures to
seminars and student life and they pay their way. In Britain, universities are getting ready to enroll more
overseas students. The British Council has published a report predicting that overseas student numbers
could soar to more than 800,000 by 2018. In 2010, figures put the total at over 400,000 international
students out of two and a half million students in UK higher education and it is clear that this influx is
having an enormous impact on universities and colleges.
These students bring welcome fees, of course, but they are also likely to be very intelligent students
who inject new cultural influences and bring changes to the old university systems. Their demand for
vocational subjects such as business, biotechnology and information technology, rather than traditional
academic subjects, is affecting what is taught as well.
The impressive expansion of foreign students has already had a significant impact on higher
education. Overseas student numbers, including European Union students, have risen from 270,000 in
2002 to 400,000 in 2010. During this time the number from China jumped more than tenfold, and
numbers from India have been going up. In contrast, the number of students from other countries has
fallen, reflecting their governments’ efforts to educate more of their young people at home, as well as
competition from Australia and the USA. But as the Asian tiger economies expand their own universities,
the good news for places like the London School of Economics is that there are more and more graduates
looking to improve their qualifications or to pursue research in their subjects.

Read the following passage and mark the letter A, B, C, or D to indicate the answer to each of the
question.
One of my favorite movies is When Harry Met Sally. I can watch it again and again and love it every
single time - maybe even more than I did before. There’s a scene that will be familiar to any of the
movie’s fans: Harry and Sally have just set off on their drive to New York City and Harry starts telling
Sally about his dark side. He mentions one thing in particular: whenever he starts a new book, he reads
the last page first. That way, in case he dies while reading it, he’ll know how it ends.
Harry will know how it ends, true, but doesn’t that also ruin the book? If you know the ending, how
can you enjoy the story? As it turns out, easily. A study in this month’s issue of Psychological Science
comes to a surprising conclusion: spoilers don’t actually spoil anything. In fact, they may even serve to
enhance the experience of reading.
Over 800 students from the University of California San Diego took part in a series of three
experiments, where they read one of three types of short story: a story with an ironic twist (such as Roald
Dahl), a mystery (such as Agatha Christie), and a literary story (such as Raymond Carver). For each story,
there was a spoiler paragraph that revealed the outcome.
The students read the stories either with or without the spoiler. Time to reconsider, it seems, what we
call a spoiler. The so-called “spoiled” stories were actually rated as more enjoyable than those that were
“unspoiled,” no matter what type of story was being read. Knowing the ending, even when suspense was
part of the story’s goal, made the process of reading more, not less, pleasurable.
Why would this be the case? Perhaps, freed from following the plot, we can pay more attention to the
quality of the writing and to the subtleties of the story as a whole. Perhaps we can be more attuned to
those signs that foreshadow the unfolding of the action and take pleasure in our ability to identify them.
Whatever the case may be, it may not be as urgent as we think it is to avoid spoilers. Indeed, it might be
just fine to embrace them openly. Harry might have the right idea after all. In fact, he might be getting at
the very thing that lets me watch him meet Sally over and over and over again, and enjoy the process
every single time.

Women often complain that the men in their lives are not romantic enough. But men sometimes have
trouble expressing their feelings, often resorting to cheesy Hallmark cards or pricey bejeweled baubles to
do the job for them. But there is a far better way to be romantic and it doesn’t involve spending a fortune
or even opening your mouth.
In the days before courting consisted of hanging out and getting drinks, courting was a formal and
dignified endeavor. Symbols were used to express feelings and thoughts deemed too special for mere
words. During the Victorian Era, a whole romantic language developed around the giving and receiving
of flowers. Everything from the type and size of the flower to the way it was held or presented conveyed
layers of meaning and communicated a gentleman’s feelings and intentions. Each bouquet contained a
secret message for a lady to eagerly interpret and endlessly dissect.
These days giving flowers has become a somewhat ho-hum cliché. Resurrecting this Victorian
tradition will infuse the gesture with new life and romance and bring back some of the subtly, mystery,
and fun of courtship. Your lady will swoon that you put far more thought into your selection of flowers
than grabbing a bouquet out of the case at Wal-Mart. You’ll come off as a real gentleman and a hopeless
romantic. It can become an amazing tradition you’ll both enjoy. Seriously, women eat this stuff up.
Of course, even women nowadays have forgotten the meanings of flowers. So buy your lady a flower
dictionary. And keep a copy for yourself (it’s important that you both use the same reference, as the
meanings were never set in stone and can sometimes vary from book to book). Then, each time you
present her with a bouquet, she can search the volume to find what secret messages you have embedded
in the flowers.

question.
Losing the ability to smell strong odours such as onions, petrol or lemons in later life could be one of
the warning signs that an early death is approaching, a new study suggests. Researchers tested the
smelling ability of 2,300 participants aged between 71 and 82 then followed them up for more than 10
years. During that period around half of them died, but the risk of dying within 10 years rose by 46
percent for those who struggle to smell.
It is known that losing the ability to smell often goes hand-in-hand with diseases like Parkinson’s and
Alzheimer’s as these conditions kill off olfactory nerves needed to sense odours. However the study
found that such diseases accounted for fewer than one third of cases, and seven in 10 of the bad smellers
had appeared healthy before their deaths. “We don't have a reason for more than 70 per cent of the
increased risk. We need to find out what happened to these individuals,” said Honglei Chen, an
epidemiologist, of Michigan State University. “The findings of this study tell us that in older adults, loss
of sense of smell has broader implications for health beyond what we have already known. Incorporating
a sense of smell test in routine doctor visits might be a good idea at some point.”
Those involved in the study were asked to take part in the The Brief Smell Identification Test (BSIT),
where 12 odours are released by scratching scent strips with a pencil. Smells included petrol, rose and
soap which are chosen because they are distinctive and familiar in most cultures. Commenting on the
study experts said it was important for older people to let doctors know if their sense of smell begins to
diminish as it could be a herald of unseen problems.
Prof Robert Howard, Professor of Old Age Psychiatry at University College London (UCL), said:
“We have known for many years that loss of sense of smell in later life may precede other symptoms of
neurodegenerative disorders such as Parkinson's or Alzheimer's by many years. The study showed that the
risk of dying in the next 10 years was increased by about a half in people who have difficulty smelling
and that only some of this risk could be explained by the development of Parkinson's or Alzheimer's. This
raises the interesting possibility that impaired sense of smell may be a marker of ageing and this fact
should be taken seriously by older people and their doctors.”
