This is the world that we live in, filled with large buildings, skyscrapers, transportation
systems and highways roads. How are they eriged, what influence their designs and how they
are constructed is not a common question and this is where CIVIL ENGINEERING is rooted.
I strongly believe that Civil Engineering is always among the most important engineering
fields since centuries. As researchers are working continuously to evolve the field and use
some elements from the electronic such as remote sensors placed in the concrete to monitor
his behavior, it is actually giving a modern view of the field in the years to come.

I am passionate about civil engineering and also I am fascinated about the way we could use
softwares and technology to solve issues.My main responsibilities as civil engineer at
CERCOMIT-Sarl was related with producing designs, plans and reports which strengthen my
skills in reinforced concrete design and with some supervision tasks. These have participated
to improve my communication skills and I discover my ability to work in a team, also I have
realized that I am able to explain thoroughly a project that I have worked on. Those
experiences will be valuable and will help me to easily fit in my future study environment
where I would be able to exchange and share ideas with my peers during group projects.
During my stay in German, I intend to use wisely my time during semester breaks by doing
some internships in companies to gain more experience on how projects are handled and the
tasks of the structural engineer and the collaboration between the other intervenants. I intend
to do an internship at ESTATIKA GmbH which is a planning office specialized in structural
design, building physics, energy and architecture consulting.

Structural Engineering is field of civil engineering I am interested the most with; analyze the
behavior of materials, propose a design structure for the problem we aim to solve, verification
and optimization of the solution. I am so excited to pursue the degree of Master of Science at
Fachhoschule Münster as first choice, because the degree is well-designed and the curriculum
is interesting, the specialisation “Konstruktiver Ingenieurbau” is given by high-recognised
professors and it aims to equip students with advanced skills in terms of finding the proper
mechanics and understand materials and how they withstand structural loads.Also we gaining
also some abilities in the construction management which will allow us to provide quite a
good timeframe for our projects.
The courses “Tools for BIM ” and “ProcessDesign with BIM ” would be a great add to my
skills , because I think it would be facilitate the differents actions of the construction
company, the designers and others actors of the construction to work on one whole numeric
building and have a broad discussion around the model and the modifications that could be
aroused.

Study in German would be an exciting opportunity to be part and involved in an environment

where we believe that use technology and continuous assessment of previous knowledge to
improve and develop new researches in a specific field.Universities in German respect
international standards in terms of facilities, laboraties and programs’s structure. It would be
amazing to enhance myself in this vibrant hub of knowledge where I would have the

opportunity to gather cutting-edge knowledge and tomorrow act as a mentor for future civil
engineers.
After the successful completion of this two-year program plus the dedicated LEAD program
that is mandatory, I would be well equipped to successful undertake projects and start a career
as a Consultant Structural Engineer for public and private companies in Cameroon.
