UNIT 2 - PLAYTIME

LESSON 1 – p.14-15
- WU: board race

o Split the class into two teams and give each team a colored marker.
o If you have a very large class, it may be better to split the students into teams of 3 or
4.
o Draw a line down the middle of the board and write a topic at the top.
o The students must then write as many words as you require related to the topic in
the form of a relay race.
o Each team wins one point for each correct word. Any words that are unreadable or
misspelled are not counted.

LESSON 2 – p.16-17

- Craft: T gives handouts -> Ss listen to the teacher and write the words in English -> cut and paste
in their notebooks

LESSON 3 – p.18-19
- NW: favourite, toy, colour, guess the word, lovely, bird, zebra, animal
- Grammar:
What’s your favourite toy? -> It’s a ball.
What’s your favourite colour -> It’s blue.
What’s your favourite animal? -> It’s a bird
- Activity 1: Bingo game
- Activity 2:
Have all students sit in a circle. Use a fake apple and toss it to one S. But you must say
one English word as you pass. The S then throws to another S and says a different
English word. If the student you threw it to drops it, he/she is out. And the game keeps
going until you have one winner. It can be played with different categories, such as
Food, Animals, Etc. My students love it! (Submitted by Kim.S.).
