Full-time master’s degree studies in Sweden
• One or two-year programmes, starting in the autumn semester
• Taught in English
• About 500-650 selected master’s programmes are eligible for the scholarships
• 30+ universities across Sweden

Fully funded scholarships
Around 250-300 scholarships per year
The scholarship covers:
• Tuition fees: directly paid to the Swedish university by SI
• Living expenses of SEK 10,000/month
• Travel grant of SEK 15,000
• Insurance against illness and accident
• Membership of the SI Network for Future Global Leaders(NFGL) –
a platform to help you grow professionally and build your network
while in Sweden
• Membership of the SI Alumni Network after your scholarship
period – a platform for continued networking and further
professional development

Who can apply?
• Hold citizenship in one of the 34 eligible countries
• Have at least 3,000 hours of work experience
• Have demonstrated leadership experience
• Be an international fee payer and not have dual citizenship in countries not listed on
the DAC list of ODA recipients
• Be admitted to an eligible master’s programme on time
• Should not have previously lived in Sweden for more than two years, be currently
enrolled in a master’s programme at a Swedish university, have previously been
awarded an SI scholarship, or hold a degree from a Swedish university.

Target group
Aim of the scholarships:
Develop global leaders who will contribute to the United Nations
2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development (SDG)

Ideal candidates:
• strong and relevant professional background
• demonstrated leadership experience from employment
• ambition and potential to bring positive social change
• experience from involvement in civil society/NGO sector
• extensive networking skills and relevant platforms
• clear idea of how a study programme in Sweden would
contribute to SDG

How to apply
Watch the video about the application process

Apply for a master’s programme:


• Apply for a master’s programme at universityadmissions.se by
the middle of January at the latest
• Send the required documents and pay the application fees to
University Admissions on time
• Results will be announced in the beginning of April

Apply for an SISGP scholarship:


• Prepare the required documents and scan them
• Fill in the online application form and submit the scanned
documents at si.se in February
• Results will be announced at the end of April
