Espiridion reported on June 20, 2022 that according to an announcement by the Quezon City Government on their Facebook page, as of March 31, 2022 there were no active cases of COVID-19 recorded in Barangay Talayan, Quezon City. The Quezon City Epidemiology and Disease Surveillance Unit confirmed there were no active cases in Talayan after validating data from the Department of Health to ensure any recorded cases were residents of Quezon City. One resident interviewed said they were happy and relieved to hear there were no active cases in their barangay as COVID-19 is truly frightening, though the record could still change due to ongoing community testing.

    Barangay Talayan Quezon City, Philippines - There are no active cases of


    COVID-19 recorded in Barangay Talayan on 8:00 AM, March 31, 2022, Quezon
    City Government announced on Thursday in their facebook page.
    Quezon City Epidemiology and Disease Surveillance Unit(CESU) confirmed the

    active cases with other barangay that belong in Quezon City, going through the

    validation of CESU, health center staff and barangay officials the data from the

    DOH to ensure that they are residents of Quezon City.

    “Masaya ako na malaman na walang active cases sa ating barangay

    mapapanatag ang loob ko, nakakatakot talaga ang covid” one of resident in

    Barangay Talayan I interview about these news, The resident was so happy to

    know about the news. There is a chance to change the record because of

    ongoing community - based testing.
