A HOLIDAY STORY

Last autumn, Anna and Joe travelled to Spain for a month. They travelled in
October and they stayed at a hotel in the centre of Madrid together with
many other students from all over the world.

They had a really great time together because they talked to a lot of
students of different cultures and nationalities and learned a lot about their
customs and their countries. They also improved their English because they
practiced it every single day. They studied every morning, and when
necessary, they asked the teacher to speak slowly or to repeat. The teacher
always answered their questions. Later, they visited different places or they
played sports with their friends from other countries. During the breaks,
they always chatted and laughed. In the evening, they were tired but they
always watched some movies or played games together. They walked
around Madrid a lot, especially at weekends. They loved the city! It is very
big, they visited many monuments and they had a great time there.

They were very sad to return home, although they missed their family and
friends. They almost cried when they waited for the train to go home, but
they promised to write or send emails to their new friends when they
arrived home.
