Good morning everyone. It is a pleasure to be here today for the presentation. I’m ….

,
and these are my friends, …., and ….., we are going to present our thoughts on the
fashion trends of the 2000s. This topic is important since the 2000’s fashion trends are a
global mash-up of vintage style.
In the next 5 minutes, we will focus our presentation on the four main parts: the history,
influential people, main trends, and what they wore. At the end of the presentation, we
will give you the conclusion. If you have any questions, there will be any Q&A after this
presentation.

Now we move to the first part. The history.

2000s fashion trends are even more nostalgic than those of the ‘80s or ‘90s. Most of them
wear tiny handbags and even tinier strappy sandals that defined the decade's aesthetic.
Not everything they wore in the 2000s is making it into 2022 because styles like ultra-
low-rise jeans are best left in the past.
People in the 00s usually wear Emo and Streetwear looks. Emo took cues from goth and
punk styles. Emo outfits were often all or mostly black with skinny jeans, band t-shirts,
and checkered Vans. Streetwear took often casual clothing, like jeans, tees, and sneakers.
Including distressed skinny jeans, loose-fitting tops, fitted tracksuits, track pants, hoodies,
and graphic t-shirts. Surprisingly people still use Emo fashion and Streetwear fashion
today.

Let’s move on to the influential people in the 2000s. The first one is Sarah Jessica Parker.
After getting the part in "Sex and the City," Sarah Jessica Parker became one of the most
well-known fashion icons of the 2000s.
Sarah Jessica Parker's style was all about bold pieces that made a statement and
interesting accessories. During the 2000s, she was on many lists of the best-dressed
people. Sarah Jessica Parker's style in the 2000s was all about making fashion statements
that other people were too afraid to try. She wore every piece with confidence.
The second one is Britney Spears. Britney Spears has been a fashion icon since 1999
when her song "Hit Me Baby One More Time" came out. In the 2000s, while she was
doing double-denim moments with Justin Timberlake and making her acting debut, Brit's
fan base grew at a very fast rate.
Now let’s jump to the main fashion trend.
In the 2000s, the signature style was made with a lot of different fabrics. Most of the
time, cotton and linen were used to make casual clothes. Denim in many different colors,
from white to almost black and everything in between, was also used. Silk was used to
make dresses and long shirts that looked like tunics.
About the color, bright colors became increasingly popular in the 2000s. Lime, peach,
yellow, pink, deep red, and orange are all popular Spring colors. Colors like purple and
blue in their brightest tones were popular this summer. The pants came in several tones of
blue

About the brand, Juicy Couture is the brand that helped fashion icons grow in 2000s. In
1996, they sold their first item under the name Juicy Couture. It was a simple V-neck t-
shirt that was made to flatter every woman's body in a way that male designers who only
dress high fashion models might not think of.
The "Juicy" tracksuit was the most well-known one of its time. This became a big selling
point for the brand, making it expensive and out of reach for most people.

Let’s go on to the last part, what men and women wore in the 2000s
First, 2000s Jeans Fashion
In the 2000s, jeans and denim were still popular pieces of clothing. At that time, jeans
that went below the hips were in style.
Men wore Bootcut jeans in the 2000s. The legs are straight, but the opening at the bottom
is wider. They are the men's version of "flare" jeans.
Second, 2000s Emo Fashion. Emo fashion is characterized by dark color such as black,
dark blue, or gray. Emo fashion often includes intricate details such as studded belts,
long-sleeved t-shirts, skull jewelry, and ripped jeans. Emo has the characteristics of all-
gothic clothes and ace-covering hair. This trend is followed by many teenagers and young
people.

Third, late 2000s Fashion. For women, miniskirts were replaced by babydoll, bubble
skirts, and sweater dresses, and crop tops were replaced by camisoles.

For men, they wore letterman and black leather jackets, overcoats, slim-cut jeans, Ed
Hardy t-shirts, flannel shirts, and V-neck sweaters, among other things.
Overall, the fashions of the early 2000s were much different than our styles today or even
decades before which needed inspiration. Throughout the decades the trend has been
constantly changing and fashion is nearing its end decade is much different from the
beginning.
Influential people in 2000 are Sarah Jessica Parker, who became the fashion star of the
2000s after her HBO show “Sex and the City”, and Britney Spears, who became the
fashion icon after her song "Hit Me Baby One More Time" came out.

In the 2000s, the most fabric used were cotton and linen. The color used was a bright
color. The most popular brand was Juicy Couture.
About What men and women wear in 2000, they wore jeans and denim. they also wore
Emo fashion which is characterized by a dark color and often includes intricate details
such as studded belts, long-sleeved t-shirts, skull jewelry, and ripped jeans.
