My name is Carolin Hofmann and I am the face behind the

label „Fadenkäfer“.
Being a mum, creativity is not only needed at the sewing
machine - nevertheless I love sewing and creating wonder-
ful individual clothes for my three kids.
After a short while I had the wish not to sew only from
bought patterns and began to create my own ones.
After my first pattern was successfully finished, a lot of pat-
terns followed. All my patterns are designed together with
my cut manager in close cooperation.
All patterns are intensivly tested in all sizes by my team. With lots of love high quality
patterns come into live and can easily be sewed by everyone.
Due to step-by-step instructions with a lot of photos and not using too complicated
sewing terms all my patterns are easy to sew, especially for beginners, .
That makes it possible for hobby seamstresses to start immediatly without any prior
knowledge and finish wonderful individual clothes.
After a few successful ebooks for kids I have designed my first pattern for ladies and a
lot of them followed. These lady patterns are created in the same way and come with
a photographed step-by-step instruction for fast success.
My „Basicline“ with patterns for grown ups and kids, that can be sewed fast and easily
round up my portfolio.
Sewing is fun! There‘s nothing better to create unique and outstanding clothes for
kids, oneself, partner or best friends.
This is the reason for my mission: Enthuse others for sewing!

for beginners and advanced sewers.
A step-by-step photoraphed tutorial guides your through your project from cutting out the pieces until
your ready to wear garment.

- jersey, sewat, knit, fleece, bi-elasic fabrics - printer and & paper
- cuffing fabric - pair of scissors or roller cutter
- fabric band app. 20 -30 cm - pins
- snaps for jersey - measuring tape
- iron
- sewing or overlock machine
You can use an overlock machine or use a

stretch stitch on your sewing machine,
e. g. overlock stitch, or triple straight stich
(which will be serged with a zig-zag stitch)!

The fabric usage is based on a fabric width of 140cm.

All measures for cuffs are width x height. When using jersey or different cuff fabric the length
may vary.
Because every kid is an indivdual, I recommend to measure the waistline before cutting the cuff.
The fabric band is about 20-30cm long. You can use as well snap fasteners - best will be special
ones for jersey.

Let‘s get started!

Print out your pattern and take care that your are printing orignial size (100%).
The control square has a size of 4 x 4cm and 2 x 2 in.
Glue the single pages together. There are lines on each pages, showing you where to cut and how to glue
it together. Please work as accurate as possible.
Cutting
Pleas add a seam allowance of 1cm / 1/4 in.
Please mark all markings to the fabric
