LISTENING COMPREHENSION

Rhetoric is the way that authors use and manipulate language in order to persuade an audience. Once the rhetorical
situation out of which a text is created is understood, we can look at how all contextual elements shape the author’s
creation of the text. In this module, you’ll be unveiling the classical rhetorical appeals which classify the authors’
intellectual, moral, and emotional approaches in getting the audience’s reaction that the author hopes for.
