1 Bogota a cosmopolitan city

Bogota is the capital of Colombia, and it was founded in 1538. Since its very
beginnings Bogota has been a promising and attractive land for settlers due to its
location and how fertile its land is. Centuries have passed and Bogota is considered one
of the greatest cities of the world. Nowadays Bogota has a lot to offer to people all
around the world and of course for local people too. There are many job opportunities,
recognized universities, and important international companies have decided to settle
their headquarters in Bogota since they see potential and believe in Colombia's future.
The weather of the city is predominantly cold due to the altitude of the city in regards of
the
sea level, additionally Bogota is located on the Andes Mountain range, this is a city of
subtle nuances and deep contrasts.

This is a city bustling with activity, from Ciclovia until going hiking to Monserrate, you
will always find yourself busy and entertained in this wonderful city. Ciclovia is an
event that takes place on Sundays and holidays in which many bicycle riders take over
the most important roads of the city and enjoy a wonderful morning, no cars are
allowed. If you like cultural events you can go to a museum or enjoy one of the many
festivals the local and national government organize like 'la feria del libro' or 'rock al
parque'. There are also many hotels and different restaurants where you can enjoy
national or international cuisine.

Colombia gastronomy is quite diverse and Bogota is the center of all those influences,
options are countless, there are Asian, Spaniard, Mexican, Argentinian and Brazilian
restaurants just to mention some, it all depends on what you feel like eating and your
budget. Transportation system is chaotic, there is a public system called transmilenio,
but it is crowded most of the time and you have to be wary because there are many
thieves. There are taxis, and there is Uber too. Most people prefer motorcycles.

All in all Bogota is a city worth visiting, hesitate no more and give yourself the chance
to experience what the city has to offer first. You won't regret it.

3 Honestly, each activity proposed in the course has been a challenge because this
language is not very easy for me, so day by day it is a challenge and autonomous
learning. I count as a strength the fact of being able to carry out each activity, learning
new vocabulary and its pronunciation, even though it makes it difficult for me to speak
it and listen it. I still need to improve vocabulary and speaking.
