Types of Phrases
1. Noun Phrase
These are the phrases that contain a noun- name,
place, or things and at least one modifier associated
with the noun. The entire phrase will act as a noun for
that sentence.

Examples:
The movie is based on a real-life incident.
I need a phone.
Angela bought a swimsuit.
Let us try!

2. Verb Phrase
Every sentence will generally contain a verb. The
phrase consists of the auxiliary verbs and then main
verb/verbs, i.e. helping verbs.

Examples:
The teacher is writing the answer.
He has taken the dog along.
They have been playing since the last two hours.
You must call your mom at once.
